The AGM batteries of around 20ah size (gel cell) should have plenty of punch...The on I'm using is meant for one of those booster packs, and is designed to be capable of starting a cold v-8...Not all...

Yes that is a very cheap version of what i was talking about. Looks like a good deal but doesn't look to be great quality...the one I picked up was made by Yuasa which is a reputable batter company...

You can get a "motorcycle battery charger" at an auto place that will work great...make sure it is *automatic*, that is, it won't overcharge the batt....these can be found at auto parts places for...

using the packs this way also splits the draw between the packs, effectively halving the "C" on the pack, therefore pack life should be better, temp of batt lower, etc.

Amp draw is determined by motor/gearing/prop/throttle position, not batteries. (of course increased volts will mean higher watts, but that's another story)

If it was ok on 1000 mahs it'll be ok...

I'm not an expert...but....it can be done...you need a special connector or to make one. I'm pretty sure you would need to connct the packs in *paralel*. series increases voltage, paralel increases...

The buddy box thing is a great idea...fields should offer this to any newbies who are interested, and maac should find a way to accomodate this that is easy, ie you don't have to sign up for a year,...
