Almost all of my servos are Futaba or Hitec and I am not real familiar with JR. I need to order a new set of servo arms for the JR DS-285 servo. Do they use the same spline as another servo type or...

RE: Experiences buying from xheli.

I just realized that xheli has a section here on RCU which makes it that much better :). I read several post on the other forums before placing orders with them, what I noticed was even though there...

RE: Anybody running A123's in a 450 size heli?

I think the problem was I was using an 18C rating Mega Power battery. I have a friend that was using the exact same set up and his puffed too. I have since gone to a higher C rating and have not had...

Mack makes some good points. Whatever you guys decide to go with just be sure that spare parts are easy to get and buy plenty of them (couple of sets of main rotor blades, links, etc) crashing is a...

Anybody running A123's in a 450 size heli?

My Heli must be powered by an Infinite Improbability Drive, because it keeps turning lipos into Puffer fish. Serious though I would like to know if anyone is using A123 cells in a 450 size heli, I...

RE: Motor mount in EXI 450 - please help!

I have that same heli and a Futaba 9C, so I can try to help you with some of your setup if you need it (It should be very similar since most of the Futaba menus are the same on the computer radios)....

Thanks guys, never thought of the oil before, but I just replaced all my deans today with EC3, they are a little easier to grip IMO. :)

RE: Battery connectors - please help!

As was mentioned those are Deans connectors. I dont like them personally because I find them hard to pull apart when out in the field and my hands get sweaty. You should be able to find them at your...

RE: Getting some sort of glitching / Interference.

Yes, I was just about to post LOL. The heli exorcism was a success. The 2.4ghz module is working perfectly. Something in my area must have recently started interfering with my channel as when I go to...

Shadow, I was hoping so too. I got my 2.4ghz module yesterday (and new BL motor just in case), preliminary testing has been good. So good in fact that I have started to put the bird back together...

RE: Getting some sort of glitching / Interference.

Tried the static guard and the ferrite ring. Neither fixed the problem. Although I could tell a substantial difference with the ferrite ring, there was a lot less servo chatter, so I will be using...

RE: TrackerIII @ 2.4GHz Assan X8-hack module?

I dont know anything about that system, but from what I understand you can use the trainer port wires (ie solder it to the wire that goes to the trainer port...if that radio has one that is). Anyway,...

RE: Getting some sort of glitching / Interference.

Well, the new ESC and servos did not fix the problem. As was mentioned above, I think that something nearby is causing external interference. Wireless phone, router, etc. I came to this conclusion by...

RE: Getting some sort of glitching / Interference.

Good idea with the Ferrite ring, I will have to pick some of those up. My new ESC will be here tomorrow, so I will give it a shot and see if that fixes the problem. Wish me luck :)

I have a test RX on a table with the antenna straight and as far away from the Heli as possible, so we can rule that out.

It seems like the interference happens more often when the motor...

RE: Getting some sort of glitching / Interference.

Good news and bad news.

Good news is I was able to get the "interference" to happen while using my test radio. This is good because it means the problem is not with my 9C (Thank God).
The bad...
