I like your idea of using strips. I will create a 'hoop' out of the 5 ply that will circle the hole completly, just to keep in looking uniform and use epoxy to set them. I will then keep an eye on it...

I think you make a very good point, one I had not thought of. There is no room for the socket to fit, as the wing tube actually has a tight fit as it is, at least through the formers as one would...

The best luck I have had with doing a KE spin was to do a vertical roll, to a stall, then romp the throtle as it starts to fall. For me it requires a little bit of opposite aleron as it first goes...

When I got the plane it did not require an iron, the covering looked perfict. I went flying yesturday and think that I have added enough additional covering to keep it from comeing off any longer.

Dont feel bad, it happend to me as well. QQ sent me the missing hindges in short order and now I have over 100 flights on the plane :)

Yes the photos are of the first gear as I have not drilled the new gear as of yet because the angle appears to be identical. I am using the recommended axels and wheels that are in the instruction...
