RE: protecting the receiver from vibration

Electric does not have the same level of vibration associated with ic motors so wrapping them if foam is not necessary. It is the same reason that electric planes are lighter, they do have to be...

RE: E-flite J-3 Cub 25 ARF

I guess I'm the newest member! I've only put on 3 flights and I can see this plane becoming a favorite. Nice easy going ways, decent loops, and even a respectable roll or two. I'm flying it...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I've been following this thread for a while and after I built the other two planes that were ahead of the Pulse, I went out two weeks ago and bought one. I actually had to buy two. I had the first...

RE: no balance plug

Yes you can add a balancing plug but unless you are comfortable and are careful with lipos, and you have good soldering equipment, I wouldn't. I have a few friends who make their own packs and will...

RE: slow stick upgrade

You can convert to brushless for under $40. Contact Paul at [email protected] (414-232-6232). He is know as Darkside212 on the forums. I've been dealing with Paul for quite a while and he has a...

RE: 25 amp ESC not arming

Working with what you told us, when you say the esc is not arming, are the servos working or is nothing working? The esc does not have to arm to work your servos, only your motor. Start with that...

RE: Nexbie with spektrum question

If the directions for your plane only indicated hight rates, then ~60 to 70% should work well. In fact if this is your first 3D then 60% might be more prudent. As far as expo, that is more a...

RE: Need your idea on something

Thundercat, Just a little advise, it is considered bad form to post in several forums. This is the same post you have in the Electric General forum.

RE: I need your opinion

Thundercat, the one in the attachment is definitely not a trainer. The Cessna that you supplied the link to is more so but nowhere near the ideal. Were I you, I would sell off several planes and...

RE: GP Super Sporster EP

I use the "Watts Up" meter. What I like especially about it is that all information is displayed without having to press buttons to change screens. The unit comes with wires on either side of the...

RE: Receiver Question

Look into the Berg 4L or the Corona receivers. Berg is made by Castle Creations and is top notch even for it's tiny size but cost is around $30. The newer Corona rx is a very good bargin at nearly...

RE: Plane Electrics Stopped Responding?

The crystal may be plugged in tightly (after loosing a crystal in flight, then the plane of course, one time I now put a piece of tape across it just to be sure) it can still be bad. If it has ever...

RE: GP Super Sporster EP

The attitude you got over there is pretty much the way it is. Keep in mind that they are typically not the manufacturer and also think about the amount of different planes they sell. They are...

RE: WRAM Radio Control Show

Very nostalgic. I haven't been to the WRAM show in 30 years. I came back to the hobby about a year ago but now live in the south. Next weekend is the Perry GA show. 1000+ tables and billed to be...

RE: Plane Electrics Stopped Responding?

Have you checked the rx? It could have been a bad or loose crystal. Does the Optic 6 have the spectrum module? The module can be a problem but an easy fix without having to send it back to Hitech.

RE: J-3 Cub 25 ARF - Frustrated!!!

I'd love to find a set of floats for it. I have a small lake on one side of my place that I fly my Slow Stick Flying Boat from and the Cub would be fantastic out there. I've been using an APC 12x8E...

RE: flaps or not?

That's a relatively small plane and in my experience, flaps on a small plane have very little effect.

RE: J-3 Cub 25 ARF - Frustrated!!!

I just maiden mine last weekend. I had no problem with the holes at all. The only problem I ran into was using the wheel collars on the double elevator push rods. They were way too loose so I...

RE: Java Script error

I shut down both systems and it still comes up with a "Java script" problem. The classified ads on this forum are the only place this happens.
