RE: Looking to get into gas over nitro

Check Crispy Critters. They are up your way, and they stock Bajas and parts. Don't bother with a spare clutch. I've had mine going on 5 gallons, and no problems.

RE: New wheels for the baja

The new stiffened rims make a big difference. There is some slight rubbing, but it seems to stop after 1/8" and doesn't keep digging in. The old ones kept rubbing until they wore through the a-arms.

RE: Want to jump back into RC!

There are alot of Baja guys in Jersey, especially North Jersey. Just look around at where people live and give them a PM.

RE: might be getting a Baja

Maybe you guys are just racing on tracks designed 15 years ago for the FG style. Once the US starts getting tracks built specially for the baja, then it will be a racer.

RE: might be getting a Baja

Depends where you are racing. The sand dunes love the baja, due to its long length.

RE: might be getting a Baja

For the Baja, you really don't need better servos. Run it with the stock until you break it. I've had mine for 5 gallons now,a nd haven't broke the servos yet.

For the FG, look at the banners...

RE: Baja 5 rear tires

The tires are only warrantied if the yellow foams come apart. If its general use they won't send new ones, but you can try.

RE: ***First Large scale questions***

We are all waiting for better tires. So far, those are the only ones that fit directly. They last anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 gallons, depending on your surface.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Can someone explain how to enlarge the colling hole on the fin? Drill perpendicular to the fin, or at an angle, or follow the rake?

RE: ***First Large scale questions***

The problem with the stock Baja exhaust is the stinger is too small and restrictive. The X-Can stingers are much larger, so they don't restrict it that much. Its more for keeping dirt out, that is...

RE: ***First Large scale questions***

The FG and Baja exhaust are different, you can't compare them. FG from the front, the Baja from the back. We all have good luck with the extension tubes on our Bajas.

50MPH is probably not...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

TrunkyMonkey, I put some black foam around my hatch, and the original hardware didn't reach anymore. I just used a long sheet metal screw, and it works fine.

RE: Rim's

The CNRs are not really beadlocks. They are bead squishers. The only true beadlocks are the HPI Baja rims so far. We are all waiting for some one to copy that design.
