I had one do the same thing in my opinion there not a good engine.I rebuilt it and its been fine since you need to watch the engine temp if it gets just a little too hot the dtx18 will blow.

I have a superstar ep i would like to hop it up any ideas? I dont want to use a brushless set up for various reasons.PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
