The event has been postponed due to very wet conditions at our field caused by heavy rains. The event has been rescheduled for June 15, 2013. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Profiles are not about looks. They are about flying 3D and having fun doing it without the pucker factor.

RE: Would like to try 3d and wonder if my planes would work?

Learing 3d isn't real hard if you have the right platform to learn on. You are going to crash, many, many, many times and that's why you need something durible and not be scarred to get down low. IMO...

RE: Would like to try 3d and wonder if my planes would work?

Primos and mojos are profile kits. Very easy to build and very durable. You can get them here. http://www.swanyshouse.com/index.aspx

If you really want an ARF, the Sabre 47 is an excellent...

+ 1 on building any of the mentioned kits. It doesn't take long at all. Here's my Balsastore Sbach 65.

RE: 3D flying

How about a Sabre or Yak? Both fly great and are pretty tough. Great for learning 3D.

RE: Recovering

I like to use shoes and/or books to hold parts when covering. Plus I am partial to ultracote. Even if you don't get it really tight it still shrinks pretty good. The hobbyking covering is also very...

If you want to get a little more out of any servo you choose, switch that battery out and go to 6 volt.

RE: What is the cutoff point for lipo's

I don't charge mine all the way either. My dx7 has done some funky stuff with a full lipo charge. I usually charge to 12- 12.1 v. I recharge at 11.4v. on the screen.

RE: 3D For Front Yard !

+1 [sm=thumbs_up.gif] And it's not too bad in a light wind. Great for indoors too. Get the thunderpower batteries for it. Really boosts the power.

RE: How many volts for a hobbico 90 torqmaster starter

I have been using 2 40c 3s 2200 packs in series with no problems for over a year now. I just don't hold the button down for extended periods of time. Most of the time a quick blip is all it needs.
