RE: Futaba 9CAP with AFP

I am looking for an adapter to hookup my Futaba 9C. When I bought AFPD I had the Futaba 6XAS which has a round port, the 9C has a square port. Can anyone help?!?!?

RE: New Computer, need help with AFPD prob

I have encountered the same problem with my system. Brand new 3.4Ghz machine with ATI Radeon X700 Pro graphics card w/256mb memory and 525Mhz clock speed.
The problem is most DEFINITELY not the...

RE: YS 63 Lost my Muffler is it OK to fly on my Sledge?

Should we continue this thread and discuss 3D flying or take the thread elsewhere?
I don't mind continuing the discussion as long as we can agree not to be hostile which was never my intent even...

RE: YS 63 Lost my Muffler is it OK to fly on my Sledge?

It seems we got off on the wrong foot here. Once again I will say that my only real concern was about people coming out to the field claiming they know how to fly and then creating a dangerous...

RE: YS 63 Lost my Muffler is it OK to fly on my Sledge?

I guess I accidently stuck this post in the wrong thread... Sorry, Chuck, didn't mean to use this one.

My only concern is about someone coming out to the field to fly their plane claiming they...

RE: YS 63 Lost my Muffler is it OK to fly on my Sledge?

We give flying lessons at our field for those who want to learn how to fly. There are many things you can learn on your own, however there is no replacement for the voice of experience.

AND......

RE: YS 63 Lost my Muffler is it OK to fly on my Sledge?

Well, I wasn't talking about your engine know-how. I was referring to your flying capabilities. The last time I saw you fly, well, let's just say you couldn't. I was the guy who failed you on your...

And I thought you couldn't even fly yet, Dennis.
How can you provide an opinion on something you don't know about?

RE: How old is everyone??

39 years old and started flying 3 years ago.
Living in Florida has allowed me to fly every Saturday and Sunday since I started and plenty of weekdays too.
You could call me a freestyle junkie!

RE: Help GoeKelly decide on a new plane!

Check out the Dave Patrick Models Edge 540 or Extra 330.
Excellent models and I know the Edge is available in white, ready for painting.
Awesome hardware included and the horizontal stabilizer...

RE: Do I stand a chance?

A Citabria is perfectly capable of performing all of the Basic IMAC maneuvers.
Find yourself a coach/critic to stand with you and talk you thru the maneuvers
and with some practice you will...

RE: Aeroworks .40 Size Edge Vs. Pacific Aeromodel's .40 size Edge

After you have most of it finished, take it outside and leave it in the sun for about an hour.
When it cools off later you will see several wrinkles here and there that can be pulled out just...

RE: Which ARF is best for 2nd plane (Aerobatic)

I HAVE OWNED THE ULTRASTICK 40 AND HAVE FLOWN THE MIDWEST AEROBAT.
IN MY OPINION, THE AEROBAT IS STILL JUST A TRAINER WITH A SEMI-SYMMETRICAL AIRFOIL TO ALLOW IT TO BE A BIT MORE AEROBATIC.
THE...

RE: hanger9 xtra easy

Make sure you use epoxy to put the wing together and on the tail feathers.
A lot of these new trainers are being assembled using only a couple of screws to hold things together.
That is fine to...

RE: Which ARF is best for 2nd plane (Aerobatic)

I am an instructor at my field and have flown most if not all of the planes listed here and then some.
I still recommend the Hangar 9 Ultra Stick as being the best 2nd plane.
I'm not saying it is...

RE: Which ARF is best for 2nd plane (Aerobatic)

Stay away from the Hangar 9 "Super Stick" the covering sucks, it is not iron-on film, it is sticky contact paper.
Definitely go with the "Ultra Stick 40" it is covered with Ultracote.

RE: Aeroworks .40 Size Edge Vs. Pacific Aeromodel's .40 size Edge

I do fly real perfecto and I consider sealing the hinge gaps one of the most important tasks of finishing a model.
Gaps in your hinge line can cause flutter which can cause damage to control...

RE: PACIFIC AEROMODEL'S EDGE 540T .40 SIZE RECOMMENDED CONTROL THROWS

Flew the maiden flight today.
Thankfully, I set it up with my low rates a bit more than their recommended high rates and my high rates twice as much as that.
AILERON low rate 1/2" / high rate 1"...

PACIFIC AEROMODEL'S EDGE 540T .40 SIZE RECOMMENDED CONTROL THROWS

If anyone out there has experience flying this bird, I would appreciate any info on the low rate/high rate
control throw setups. The values shown in the instruction manual seem REALLY small.
I...

RE: H9 Xtra Easy 2 RTF flight time?

About 20 minutes at half throttle should be about right.
Set your timer for 15 minutes anyway... that is more than long enough for a flight.
Any more time than that during one flight is too...

RE: Which ARF is best for 2nd plane (Aerobatic)

Go with the Hangar-9 UltraStick 40.
You won't be disappointed.
It will do almost anyaerobatic maneuver in the book, yet will be very forgiving.
Does not have bad snap roll tendencies nor does...

RE: Aeroworks .40 Size Edge Vs. Pacific Aeromodel's .40 size Edge

On the Pacific Aeromodel's they included a couple of pieces of iron-on covering to seal up the hinge gaps.
Am I the only one that got very short pieces?
Like not even long enough to do one...
