RE: NV Engines (formerly Norvel) are returning?

The Big Mig .061 Startup was my favorite engine. It even came with a tank mount. Best of all, it cost less than forty bucks when it hit my door. And that was direct from the distributor. (Full...

RE: Thrust Figures For Norvel .049 and .061

RE: New Cox throttle reviewed by Fly RC magazine

Congratulations bro! Hope you were a good kid and your mother never said "she hoped you had one just like you". :D

RE: Ulmer 049 wonder plans?

August 27th was my last day on the job after 14 years. It sucks!

Do a search on SWR's or sheet wing racers. Man, those are FUN! Combatpigg did a lot of different ones with some...

RE: New Cox throttle reviewed by Fly RC magazine

As soon as I saw the engine mount, it was obvious who the author was. Great article!

RE: Ulmer 049 wonder plans?

Frank, it's around here somewhere. But you can experiment easily by making a fuse just big enough to bolt the engine on and a wing with 110-120 sq in! As soon as I find it, I'll add it though.

RE: CSTKAM-1.5 UCTKAM(0.09)

Clean it before you do ANYTHING! Pay special attention to the fuel delivery ports and needle valve. In my opinion it would be more fun to wipe your butt with fifty bucks. Easier on the nerves,...

Sorry I haven't been around guys, but life happens. I can't say the files I've got up are the most recent versions, but they looked to be. Gotta go through a lot of...

RE: CSTKAM-1.5 UCTKAM(0.09)

Never got the engines to run in any configuration. I never figured out why, but the most I could get was a fraction of a second. Gave 'em away a couple weeks ago to a guy that essentially got the...

Man, that looks AWESOME! I really like the scheme. But that's a funny looking Cox engine on there....:)

RE: Anybody flown the Sea Loon?

That looks like a lot of hard work. Looks great too! Be sure to show how you seal the hatch. It should be interesting.:D

RE: This is gonna be tough...

Ahhh, I see what you mean. What do you think of these cut points? I definitely need to sit down and calculate the CG and make sure the tip area is behind it. A little trimming is going to be a...

RE: This is gonna be tough...

Bruce, you're a genius. There wasn't a fin in the drawing because I couldn't decide how to handle it looks-wise. I've got some plastic around here somewhere. This project just got more attractive!...

RE: This is gonna be tough...

CP, that IS very close to what I'm doing. It will surely pick up speed every time it turns back towards you. [sm=lol.gif]

Get this, those internal lines near the tips are the hawks wingspan. ...

This is gonna be tough...

I took a hawk silhouette and drew an airplane around it. It's more of a flying wing with an elevator. And it's gonna be tough to figure the CG! There is no telling whether I will build this next. ...

RE: The new Cox dual propcessor beanie

Hmmm.... Scrolling down and seeing those were wasted Cox props didn't set too well. I don't know why. I've got a lifetime supply.:D

RE: My COX is STUCK

After reading the title of this thread and seeing CP as the first poster, I was kinda disappointed by a less than whimsical response... It was probably just too obvious for our resident poet.:D

RE: 1/2A Jekyll

Drum tight covering and bahia grass. You gotta love it! After a few "clear monokote" patches and your wing sounds like a cheap baby rattle. The plane looks great so far!

RE: 1/2A Jekyll

Sheeting does give a lot of rigidity, doesn't it. I can't think of a reason to sheet the other side. What kind of covering are you going to use?

Okay, I'm building something at least. Maybe a nice new airplane will follow...

RE: Cox fuel tank extender

Maybe I got different screws than Bob did, but I had to chuck them up in the drill and grind a tidbit off the head to get them to seat properly. Got mine from McMaster-Carr. If you are gonna fly...
