RE: New to Boats

1) Play
2) Fast
3) I don't really care about the scale looks, so that effort/detail would be lost on me.
4) I'll be running it in a large lake that conditions vary based on wind and how many...

New to Boats

I recently picked up a toy boat, that basically makes me want to spend more money on something nicer. I have never worked with boats before, so I really don't know where to get started.

I have...

tb-02 spur

My tb-02 came with what looks like an adapter to use different style pinion gears. Does anyone know what type I can use and what all is needed to convert it? Also, is there a slipper clutch that I...

RE: Tb02 grinding?????

My TB-02 is fairly stiff and doesn't have a lot of flex. Except for the plastic motor mount. EVERY time that I've had a clicking problem, it was due to something happening between the spur and...

RE: 2 RC10DS's

Thank you. On the same note, do you have a suggestion for ESCs?

I've got a LRP Runner Plus Reverse. I was thinking of just getting another one of those?

2 RC10DS's

I'm working on building two RC10DS for a co-worker. He's going to give them to his son's. One 8 and one 6.

Anyway. We're looking for a good (ie reliable and cheap) stock motor for them to learn...

RE: Is a legend worth it?

SuperCooper,
Can you give more details on your setup? This looks like it would be a fun car to play around with in parking lots. Are you running standard TC tires/rim?

RE: Losi 2.4ghz set-up, ANYGOOD?

My neighbor has one, and he doesn't have any reception issues with it. I've used it a few times. It fits in the hand well, and responds quickly.

RE: best vendetta servo

Servo Tape + a zip tie makes it so that the servo never moves, until you want it to.

RE: atomic vendetta st CVDs

I have a set. On one side the screw broke off within a few days. It broke off inside the hub so it's unusable now. The other side has lasted a couple of weeks now, but I just tried to take my...

RE: vendetta st/rc18mt/mini quake

I'm one of the ones with a hot vr3 motor. I wouldn't say it "overheats", it just gets hotter then other motors get. Mine has probably seen 50 packs through it and it's been getting hot since the...

RE: Genuine Deans--how important?

Personally, I'm surprised that anyone would consider the fake connectors. The real Dean's are so cheap, that it shouldn't be a concern. Supporting the people who ripoff the innovators will...

RE: duratrax heatsink on detta st? is it smart?

I've been running the Duratrax Heatsink without modifying it. The finger test says it runs cooler. I haven't used a thermostat so I can't confirm that. I've also cut a small hole in the bottom of...

RE: VendettaST suspension questions

With my stock springs, I found that the truck would bottom out anytime it caught air. Changing to the hard (green) springs fixed that.
