RE: GP GEE BEE

Sorry to hear about your loss Sessholvlaru. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger on this one. Anyone that has flown the GeeBee can relate and understands. She definately has to be landed slow and she...

RE: Radio IDs

To think I flew on that stuff years ago....LOL...no wonder we took 5 or 6 airplanes to the field every time we went. We had to just to get any flying done. They were so unreliable and successful...

RE: T-rex 600 good for a beginner?

dominoekid, The only problem with flying the Schluter Scout helis is going to be finding parts. I flew Schluter for years and loved every one of them. They were great helis in their day. The Superior...

RE: Cricket What Year?

Actually, It's a GMP Cricket. I remember they didn't fly very well. Underpowered, fixed pitch....etc. It's most likely 1980 to 1983 model would be my guess. The engine looks to be maybe an OS .19...

LOL...sorry about all the crashes, but most of us that's been around for awhile have had our share.

If you haven't already, you might consider a quality simulator, such as RealFlight G3.5 or...

RE: Whats 2.4Ghz all about?

I haven't tried it with the FAAST system, as I'm not a Futaba person. I don't think I've even seen the Futaba 2.4 yet. I wouldn't try it in an expensive plane, or my case in a helicopter. I can't...

RE: T-rex 600 good for a beginner?

My philosophy is simple and has worked for me. "Buy the best you can afford at the time". As with most things, you get what you pay for. The less expensive T-Rex will still be a nice heli to learn...

RE: T-rex 600 good for a beginner?

JR is the brand and XP9303 is the model. The 9303 is a 9 channel, 30 model memory capable, 3 mode (Airplane, sailplane, helicoper) radio.

The Spektrum DX7 is a 7 channel, 20 model memory, 3 mode...

RE: T-rex 600 good for a beginner?

While my 450 SE V2 is the top of the line T-Rex, all that bling isn't really needed or even desirable if you are just starting out. The metal parts look cool, are strong and resist flexing, but the...

RE: T-rex 600 good for a beginner?

My T-Rex is the 450 SE V2. The 450 is less expensive to repair as is buying batteries ccompared to the 600. The 450 flies almost as well as the 600, but is a little more affected by winds and is...

RE: Whats 2.4Ghz all about?

Nice explanation, khodges! :D You are correct about the 2.4 gHz video systems. As an amatuer radio operator, I can utilize a 1 watt (1000 milliwatt) 2.4gHz airborne video transmitter. It will...
