Looking good....I have flown my 30 year old bird several times now since I kind of refurbished her and the 3s-- G10 motor conversion is a great power combination ...thanks to Pattern Junkie's advice...

I just weighed mine and it came out at 2.4 oz....no servos or radio gear , motor etc...so it will come in on the heavy side on the maiden...

I have also had 3 Byron 16's--still h ave one. I solved my rudder flutter problems by simply going to a heavier control rod horn wire. I used the Sullivan aileron !/8" heavy duty wire and my flutter...

Maybe this will bring back some memories....when I bought the glider he was getting rid of most of his stuff. Laurn had developed macular(sp) degeneration in his eyes and he was only abe to see out...

Laurn said the glider was originally built in 1948 with the polyhedral wing and the tapered wings were built some time after that

I cannot vouch for how old the engine is. I can say that I have had the glider with the engine since 1988. I would venture to say that the engine is roughly 25+ years old and still works fine. I just...
