RE: AEROBIRD EXTREME MODS!

How have you fitted the motor? I was thinking about putting a brushless in one but can't figure how to mount the motor. Standard 480 replacement brushless way smaller than stock Extreme one?

RE: F-27 Stryker CG

You want it nose heavy, and up to a point, the more the better. Unless it's seriously front loaded - and I'm talking, what, 200g plus - it should fly fine. Tail heavy is the problem.
Anyway, from...

RE: E-SKY LAMA 2 THREAD

The Lama took a dive last night into a muddy field from about 40 ft. Been raining before so it was pretty boggy which broke the fall but I have now got wobble. Took it apart as much I could and think...

RE: E-SKY LAMA 2 THREAD

Got a question for you all. I've just got a Lama on mode 2, throttle left, but I'm not sure it's doing what it's supposed to do. In the instructions it says for Mode 2 the left hand stick will also...

RE: Build A Bullet Proof Stryker (Brushless Or Stock)

I tried setting up a fixed landing gear on my old Styker air frame last summer and it was a disaster. Crumped the landing and punched a hold through the rear housing near where the motor mount...

RE: F27B

It's a WFLY. Cheap copy built to mimic Futaba products and will work with other genuine Futaba products - or so says the lit.
Movement I'm getting is aerilon on left as well as throttle. So, left...

RE: F27B

Yetti, I know Tam will not agree with me on this, but you would get everything cheaper on Ebay. You'll be buying from Hong Kong but they are well worth using as they are delivered fast - usually four...

RE: "Mystery" ESC

I have been using the Mystery brand for 18 months and have only ever had one ESC burnout on me. The Lipos have been given plenty of punihsment and are still going strong. The ESC which burnt out was...

RE: F27B

Maidened with my new set up on Sunday, and it flies!!!
Bad point though is that I'm still getting to grips with my left hand throttle/ruddervator controls.
Using my left hand feels weird, I...

RE: F27B

Got my bird ready to go with all new radio gear after original Parkzone trash failed on me, thankfully during a pre-flight check. Servos went bonker, then made a strange clicking sound. After that...

RE: F27 STRYKER -Way Past the Limits Part 6 -Go deeper in to the Dark Side...

Hi Guys
I'm looking to upgrade my radio gear, but as the F27 is a mixer, are there any special considerations I need to apply. I might be wrong but I'm guessing not all rx and tx can do mixing?

RE: F27 STRYKER -Way Past the Limits Part 6 -Go deeper in to the Dark Side...

Hi guys
After some advice on brushless motors. Fried my ESC a few weeks back, and ended up buying a new 1700kv motor and same 30 amp esc off ebay.
Now, I opened the new motor up and compared it...

RE: Help Launching F27C Stryker

Sod that, give it 100% throttle and give a good throw forward and slightly up. I'd advise giving a lot of down trim until you get familiar with the plane, but don't forget to trim it back up as soon...

RE: F27 STRYKER -Way Past the Limits Part 6 -Go deeper in to the Dark Side...

Someone will correect me if I am wrong, but if the esc is rated at 25amp continuous, and the set up is pulling only 21, then you should be OK???
I was using a similar set up this summer, and with...

RE: F27 STRYKER -Way Past the Limits Part 6 -Go deeper in to the Dark Side...

RE: F27 STRYKER -Way Past the Limits Part 6 -Go deeper in to the Dark Side...

Hi guys
What's the more likely of the following two to fry first: a cheap 30 amp esc, getting around 30 amps, or a cheap brushless motor that can take up to 18 v but has only ever got 12. Hmm,...

RE: F27 STRYKER -Way Past the Limits Part 6 -Go deeper in to the Dark Side...

Been up about five minutes when the motor cut, like...

RE: F27B

Yeah, the radio gear handles the conversion fine and a 3S lipo is no prob. I've been running mine for around 30 flights and no issue yet. Did you buy the EZ ESC? That's what I'm using.
