RE: Some Advice....Schumacher Havoc?

So whats the problem with the clutch? You say 'clutch went'. You mean it just doesnt grab anymore? If the springs are good, as well as the bell and shoes, then I dont see what the problem is? Could...

RE: Some Advice....Schumacher Havoc?

I havent had a problem with my clutch? I know they changed the design slightly, but since it was a new clutch it should be fine, unless the model shop had a load of really really old stock. Im...

RE: Some Advice....Schumacher Havoc?

I havent meassured the speed properly, just used the old stopwatch over a 200 metre strip. The acceleration is good, and it is very lightweight, so I think that must be how it gets its speed.

I...

RE: Some Advice....Schumacher Havoc?

Hi

I have the Schumacher Havoc - and I can say its brilliant!

Its got excellent speed (when they say 50MPH, they really do mean 50MPH!) and the accelleration is also pretty quick. I only...

RE: New or Used?

You must be able to buy them new, as people with LST2s need spare ones occasionally. But I cant find out where. You could just wait for some new ones to come on ebay.

RE: Savage X still stalling during breakin

I had the same problem when it is new. The best method I found is to start it, then increase the throttle by a tiny tiny tiny amount, and I do really mean the smallest amount you can go. It should...

RE: X-SS Assembly help needed... Please:)

No, you cant start it with a drill, unless you get a rotostart backplate. I think (but am not sure) that you can start the engine with the pullstart and have the body in place, without having to do...

RE: X-SS Assembly help needed... Please:)

You dont need to get spare shocks etc! I've had my truck for over 1 year, with over 6 gallons through it, and I've bent 2 shock shafts. OK, you will probably need them eventually, but when you can...

RE: X-SS Assembly help needed... Please:)

Yeah, the Spektrum remotes are the best, for a good price you get a LOT. Get the DX3.0, incase you want reverse. Hitec servos are also very good. The main advantage with the Spektrum is it runs on...

RE: Wheelies...

Things to help:

1. Check your low end tune - I found that turning down the idle a bit helps.
2. Change to an aluminum clutch - Nova ones are very good.
3. What fuel are you using? Get some...

2. Some of their products have been...

RE: Quick question about spur gear and clutchbell?

I've had mine for over 2 gallons, and the mesh has been very lose at times (stupid X TVPs) and neither of then have striped. I would say (just because of logic) HPI would make the clutch bell...

RE: Savage X SS 4.6... the right truck for me?

X SS is the toughest truck out there. I'd also recomend changing the diff fluid while you build it to something a little higher, especially for bashing. The shock oil will also need changing, but if...

RE: X-SS Assembly help needed... Please:)

Its very true that proper tools do help a LOT with assembly and maintenance. You will end up buying them, and I wish I'd bought them from the start.

RE: how? distroyed teeth inside 3 speed..?

Check your bearings, if they are bad then the gears may not be aligned quite right. If the trucks new, you can call HPI and they might send you more parts, to get you going again.

BUT REMEMBER :...

RE: installing bearings

Did you get a pack of small ones (eg. 0.5mm thick)?

If they are brass, and about 4mm thick then you only put 1 on
If they are not brass and smaller width then you put about 5 on
