If any one is interested I have a H9 corsair with elecric motor and benadini engine sound system with LADO retracts available along with tons of other stuff chargers batteries ect.

Matt from my books on Corsairs history the only Fleet Air Arm units suppied with out clipped wings were the first 95 which were suppied in June 43 and were F4u-1B models unclipped,however of this...

esentially yes thats what I am thinking ,or for a full revamp move the whole installation mounting point forward slightly, to add tapered rails to create a forward rake might cause a fully retracted...
