2 Meter question

The MAD Highlander sounds like it would fit all of the needs you described in your original post.

Hobby People carries this plane (www.hobbypeople.net).

Strong DLG Composite GLider???

Ifo?

I broke the thread on my Mark-III a couple of times myself. I finally switched to Kevlar string (probably 6 times more strands than the thread), and haven't had a problem yet...except losing the...

Tyvek on an IFO???

Hi. I was recently considering covering an IFO with Tyvek instead of plastic.

It is 40 grams per square meter. Is that too heavy?

Ifo?

So, it either went really well and you are still there flying, or it didn't go so well.

Lazy Bee tips and tricks...

Okay Rod, but I want to build mine with the extended wing, and am not going to buy a new wing kit. How many extra bays do I need to put into it?

Ifo?

Can you clarify "heat shrink hinges"?

I'm not sure that I understand how it works.

Also, what does the plane in the picture use to connect the pushrod to the flying surfaces?

Ifo?

So, did the Krylon help much? Did you spray it after the covering was on the frame, or before?

Lazy Bee tips and tricks...

I'm using a little of the cabin space for a small film camera (not very heavy at all). That's the first iteration.

I was wondering what the differences are between the Lazy Bee and the Extended...

Ifo?

I actually have one of each (Mk-II and Mk-III). I assume that the Mk-III is lighter. I'm going to build it without the mast, landing gear, and skids.

I've got some 150 mAh nicads, but am...

Hi. I recently bought an IFO kit that didn't have the instruction booklet. Do you have one that you would let go?

Hovering and long flights

Hi. I'm about to put together an IFO. I've got a Graupner 280 and 4:1 gearbox. Can I hover (or prop-hang, torque-roll) this plane with this combo? Would I need to go with a lightweight 10-cell...

HLG Gyro

Try the GWS/Cirrus gyro. It is fairly small, lightweight, and only about $50 ($40 when on sale from Hobby People).

Without the case it is pretty slim.
