RE: Wood supplier

I finally got home to check the weight of the new sheets I got today at Solarbo.
6 sheets 3/32 x 3 x 36 = 89 grams. That is (if my math is correct), 5.6 lb/ft^3. I didn't even selected them.

RE: Wood supplier

My office is close to their warehouse. I went there today and bought some 1/8" x 3 x 36 sheets. Very nice quality, very light. It is too late to go to the garage and weigh some sheets, but they...

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

I'm using the old wing. See post #98. When the old FM kissed the ground, only the fuse got DESTROYED! Nothing happened to the wing.

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Of course!
I've had Flying Machines since the early 90's. Can't get it to fly it like Don M., not even close, but have as much fun or even more.

Nitro-Tom,
Count me in. I also fly @ Markham.
My Flying Machine (See post #98) crashed like 6 months ago but I am in the process of building a replacement. What a nice plane to play with.

RE: Showtime 50 anyone?

Finally decided to get another Showtime50. This time I'm going to install a YS110FZ. If the YS91AC was an excellent engine in my previous plane, I think the 110 will be amazing. Need to create a...

According to the construction manual when you buy the plans from Don, an initial setup would be: elevator 3/8" up and down; aileron 3/8" up and down; rudder 3/4" right and left.

Good...

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

Mine flew a couple of weeks ago. I am not very happy with the colors of the plane. They just don't have contrast. You don't know if it is upside down or if it is coming or going. At the speed...

Is it a good idea to do the lightening holes on the fuselage? Is the ARF plywood or balsa wood sides?

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine

I'm done with the sanding of the wing. Not enough time today to work on the fuselage.
I'm not sure if I should install a YS-45 or a OS-50SX. The YS would have the tank as close as possible to the...
