you could always switch to plastic spur gears, this will save you from ever having to buy another clutch bell, metal spur gears are not nessesary.

Nab some extra lock nuts for the spur gear,...

I did forget I plasti-dipped all three of mine during a cleaning, but as I said, 3+ years now, and I shy away from no puddle.

Did you submerge the truck or just splash around, i was concerned...

Bummer, I am still running the stock steering servos with not a problem for 3 years now, the 270 throttle pooped out on me at full throttle (bad wreck, tire tracks on the garage door) I replaced it...

Looks like you have 5 days to prep, I haven't purchased a single RTR that didn't fire right away, but I also pull the motor and flush it out, then seal it, then I go over the entire truck and double...

Are you putting the glow ignitor on and leaving it? You need to if not. No pumping of the ignitor, and the ignitor doesn't heat the inside of the motor like a blow dryer can.

To prime the motor...

sounds like you should do some maintenance while its down, check the CB bearings, wheel bearings, hope you ordered some slipper pads for the new spur gear.

I remember melting a spur with 19/47 gearing, I run 16/47 all the time on my favorite Picco 27, just works perfect for me.
