How 'bout that Optic 6 case fix....

It's been a month sice there was any news about this case fix for the Optic 6. It doesn't seem like there is much of a hurry to remedy this situation. I bet Hitec wishes they had never put this unit...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

I know just what you mean! I have had my UCD for over 2 years now and I am not done with it yet! I had some decent time to do some work recently but I had just bought the engine (Saito 82) and had...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Yup! 1 to 1 (Omega 15% and Cool Power 30% Heli) gives you right at or around 22.5% nitro and 20% on the oil. Just a bit more kick on the nitro and a little buffer on the oil. (Saito calls for 20%...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hi Mark,

The fitting you are wondering about is a crankcase breather. You put a piece of hose on it about 4 inches or so long at it is only for draining off stray oil from the motor. With the...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

RCLEMENT, what size o-ring should I get for the V. stack to seal off to the carb? Or should I use tubing so I don't place a vortex in the path by having the grooves from the round o-ring in the...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

I WISH I owned any of these planes! These are from the Fly-in we had on the week-end before last. But I'll be happy to entertain the thought! Heck, maybe I'll get lucky!

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

For fuel, I am now mixing 1:1, Omega 15% and Cool Power Heli 30%. I have almost exactly 20% nitro and 20% oil. The Saito LOVES it! The prop is an APC 14x4W and also works well. And, yes, elevation...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Gary,

That is an absolute affirmative. The Hitec stuff runs on the JR just fine. You just have to make sure you have the shift setting correct. Airtronics/JR are positive shift and Futaba/Hitec...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hi Doug,

Just as you said, you are correct. Usually that is the case. However, these Morgan fuels are designed to do just what we want. They have a special wetting agent that allows oil in the...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Bear in mind 38, that we are using (that is, we that are using) 30% Cool Power Heli fuel. It has 22% oil content so we are sort of cancelling most of that heat with pure lubrication. I did notice a...

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Don't know how well set you are on high torque, fast acting servos, but you might want to trade that .46 in on some for the UCD. It really needs some torque on the rudder. 90+ oz. and don't forget to...

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

My only concern is oil content. Saito says 20% minimum, I have heard 18% but 15% oil is a bit light isn't it? What do I know?! My 82 LOVES 30% nitro/22 oil is all I know! It...
