brakes don't mix with the engine

I have the himoto eldorado. i have a problem with my brakes when i brake the enigine stals. what should i do about this?

My son is now having this same problem with his Himoto Eldorada ... and i think I broke it for him (oops).

I bought my son a Himoto 1/10 truck, and he absolutely loves it. He's having a ball, but is running into the issue of breaking parts in the cold Pittsburgh PA weather.
