RE: Ordering sig se tomorrow

I ordered a Spacewalker II from Advantage Hobby in early September and SIG had it delivered to me within a week or so. I can't remember exactly how many days, but it didn't take long.

RE: Watcha Buildin'?

I am finishing up a SIG Something Extra at the clubhouse. In my workshop, I need to finish a CG Super Chipmunk, SIG 4*40, and a few other projects. I haven't decided what my next project will be.

RE: Goldberg Super Chipmunk - A tale of two builds...

Thanks zflyz! I installed the servos in the same rib bay as the bellcranks would have been installed. I can't answer your question on moving to a different bay...hopefully, someone who has way more...

RE: Goldberg Super Chipmunk - A tale of two builds...

I was finally able to make some progress tonight. The aileron servo hatches are pretty much complete except for some sanding. It is not the prettiest job, but, hopefully, it will do the job.

No, I did not exactly take time off, just got busy with other things. Like you, I am currently trying to figure out the aileron servos.

At the present time I have the landing gear block...

RE: Goldberg Super Chipmunk - A tale of two builds...

This picture is showing that I have made progress on the left wing panel. The bottom of the wing has been sheeted and the LG block has been epoxied in.

RE: Goldberg Super Chipmunk - A tale of two builds...

I read my ruler wrong and cut the hole for the LG too big. Does anyone know of a source for 5/64 x 3 x 36 inch balsa sheeting?

RE: Goldberg Super Chipmunk - A tale of two builds...

Well, I think it is time to start on the wings as I don't want Loren to get too far ahead me. In this picture, I cut out the ribs, glued on the doublers and glued the wing supports.

RE: Goldberg Super Chipmunk - A tale of two builds...

After a few days on other things, I finally got the elevators hinged and beveled. I still have to glue in the elevator joiner wire and do some sanding.
