RE: Decent car for a 10 year old?

Fun car! You might want to invest in a set of these to fix the dreaded "E-Rollover": http://thetoyz.com/Traxxas/Mini-1-16-Car-Series/Wheels-Tires/The-Toyz/14128/
The Traxxas wheelie bar is a solid...

RE: 1/16 E-Revo or Savage XS?...

Was not happy with mine stock either, but with the suspension and tire changes it is a whole different machine. I can't say there is anything I would want to improve on it now. Here is a good video...

RE: 1/16 E-Revo or Savage XS?...

Oh, forgot what you were said about on-road performance. You probably would want the MERV over the Summit in that case. I have mine set up with 17mm axle extenders, Dirt Hawgs and stiffer springs,...

RE: 1/16 E-Revo or Savage XS?...

I think a fairer comparison would be between the 1/16 Summit and the Savage XS if you want to compare oranges to oranges. Jang at URC reviewed both, and seemed to like the Summit better.
Savage XS...

RE: the toyz merv wheel extensions

Best mod I have made so far to the MERV. It has pretty much eliminated the rollovers. FYI, I am using the 17mm versions.

RE: WRX body

I think the issue is that what you want doesn't exist :( I saw a 1:16 WRX "drift car" on Ebay, but I'm guessing the body is too big to fit on an RC18. Unfortunately, there just aren't that many...

RE: Best car for a 6 years old kid???

Yeah, slow is good. I started my son off with a Losi Micro Rock Crawler when he was 2. He got the hang of driving around the living room, then I got him going on my Mini Rock Crawler outside. A...

RE: Best car for a 6 years old kid???

My 3 year-old has been driving a Pro-Pulse I picked up off E-Bay for $50 ready-to-run. He has been having a blast with it, and hasn't broken anything on it yet. I have been driving a RC18R myself,...

RE: Noisy RC18MT

Thanks for the advice, guys! The truck has ball diffs, so wouldn't expect them to be noisy, even if blown. When the one in my Tam Tech Frog went out, it just stopped working. Could be the 4wd...

Noisy RC18MT

I recently picked up an RC18MT for my son, and it was running great for awhile. He rammed into some sort of solid object at some point, and from then on it has sounded like a coffee grinder. Other...

RE: good offbrand tx/rx 2.4????

I had issues w/ my son breaking AM antennas, so picked up a FlySky for $30 here: http://www.hobbypartz.com/fs-g2-24ghz-radio.html , and it has been working great. Additional Rxs are ~ $8.00 each. I...

Tires for Tamtech Frog?

My pin-spikes aren't so spikey anymore [:o] I went to the Tamiya site, and the only tires they sell for the Tamtech are the Buggy Champ ones. I am looking for something with a more aggressive...

Tamtech Gear ESC question

I just bought a Tamtech Gear Frog off of EBay, and am having great fun with it (had the original back in the 80s). On thing that is a bit annoying though. The ESC has a delay of about 10 seconds...
