RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Yeah, I think so many people come and go all the time because the hobby itself is so transitional. But once a T.E.C. guy, always a T.E.C. guy. That reminds me...do you remember Raz from early on? ...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Cheech, my friend, I am doing really well. Thanks for asking. I have been popping in from time to time and keeping up with the posts when I could. I got a big chuckle over the issues you fielded a...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Generally speaking the HPI wheels don't work so well. They do come with adaptors that will work with the Evader but they're thick and unwieldy. Anyway, for racing you're better off running the...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Get a competitive motor and good tires and wheels. The stock Evader wheels are a bit on the weak side and prone to breakage. The stock tires are generally too hard for most track surfaces too. Ask...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

The last time I had a good motor and my truck ran slow like that I found that my diff gear had been split in two at the bearings. I'd open up the tranny case and check to make sure nothing is...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

You'll need these -> Deans Male Ultra Plugs one for the motor and one for the ESC and these -> Deans Female Ultra Plugs one for the ESC (to connect to the motor) and one for the battery (obviously to...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I had my Evader to the track and it performed as well as my Losi XXX-T. It's only drawback was that the track didn't stock Evader parts so if something broke and I didn't have a replacement with me...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

I'd make sure all of the screws are nice and tight. Are you saying that when you let off the throttle it stops almost immediately? Check the spur/pinion connection and make sure they've got the...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Thanks, Ziggy. The HPI is a better quality than my XRC which is why it costs $$$. XRC is now making a buggy that costs half what the Baja does. They're also always improving the quality while...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Hi Bearby! Thanks. Yes, it's a wild time driving something that big. Brakes are all-important and not to be neglected because it won't just wind down like the smaller guys do. It's got a cheap...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

If you want Losi stuff, go to Losi Parts House. They also sell Associated stuff. They have excellent prices (better than Tower in a lot of cases) and also carry things other than Losi and...

RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

Looks good, bud. The extended posts will really help when you're wanting to put non-Evader bodies on it. Good job! Let us know how it works out (and take pics mounted so we can see it in context)....

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Thanks for the report, cheech. I am looking for a new brushless motor so I'll go check it out for sure. Do they make one that isn't as powerful, something along the lines of the Novak 6.5 or 5.5? ...

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.
