Like everyone says - both are great in there own way. Personally I prefer electric over nitro with large exception.

The CRT.5 conversion is really very easy. If you haven't gotten already, rc-monster custom makes excellent motor mounts for a pretty good selection of the 1/8 buggies/truggies and the crt.5.

Yes - Mike does sell an ext. chassis kit, and so does OFNA now.

I think the crt.5 is great, but I want to add a bigger brother to the stable. Since I already have the radio gear, motor, a 4S...

I would give the metal gear version a try - like the rtr one it is a drop in replacement. I have had mine in a M18 Pro for a while and more recently in my M18T running on brushless and it has stood...

I'm curious - how long did the servo last? Was it the XMS01 servo that comes in the RTR or the XMS01MG with metal gears?

I have the MG version in my M18T and it performs rock solid.

Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation.

Finally had a weekend to take the car out to a big parking lot and with the 45 shore rear and 42 shore front Jaco foam tires the car hooked up...
