Excellent Job (again). You and your "yellow shirts" are extremely hospitable and helpful at all times. I can not think of a single thing that you could do better. You always seem to...

RE: roller bearing (one-way bearing) problem

I wouldn't mind cleaning after a gallon of fuel, but after 3-4 tanks, that is not realistic. Typically when we run in an afternoon we may go through 8-10 tanks, to pull the engine and starter after...

I have the same problem on my OS 18 tm as seen in a previous post. Engine was purchased late in the season last year, probably has about 3 gallons of fuel through it.

The one-way bearing...

RE: 4-tec help

The Jato has no reverse but it will still roll backwards.

Well, Traxxas customer service stated it should roll backwards today.

I guess I need to tear into the transmission, as the...

I currently have a JATO and REVO. I just bought a used 4-tec, and it will roll forward fine, seems to drive OK, (only 2 tanks so far due to cold weather) but will not roll backwards at all, all 4...

RE: MidWest Multi-Engine Fly-In September 16

Jeff,

I'd love to attend, I am in Nebraska, about 4 hrs from Ames. I have a duelist, and a highly modified twinstar. Unfortunately I have other commitments that weekend.

Anyway, do it...

RE: advice on rudder

Twinman,

You hit the nail right on the head. When I modified the rudder, I made it taller than the vertical stabilizer, I also extended the portion above the vertical stabilizer ahead of the...

advice on rudder

I have a twinstar, slightly modified, enlarged control surfaces (including rudder) extended nacelles, etc.

Both engines still have about the same amount of out-thrust as in the original version....

RE: what do you thin my revo is worth

Here is my take, no offense to anyone intended, just my opinion.

Ultimate Hobbies is running a special for $315 shipped, brand new REVO.

For me that is the benchmark. If someone is asking...

RE: how to adj. slipper?

I had to replace the shoes on my slipper clutch. I had one shoe break, not sure why it broke, but it did.

In the instructions for the replacement kit, it said to tighten the slipper clutch so...

engine shut-off method?

I just got (XMAS) a REVO. I have 20 years experience with RC airplanes, and am enjoying the REVO so far. :D

Simple question. Is there an easier way to shut off the engine than to remove the...

RE: Multi Engine Easy Build?

BigSky,

Thanks for the kind words.

The plane flies great, (it allways did). The changes I made are mostly cosmetic, I kept the wing pretty much unchanged (enlarged the ailerons, install...

RE: Multi Engine Easy Build?

I suggest a hobbico twinstar. I have had 2 with .25 engines. It is a great twin to start with, and its an inexpensive ARF.

Tower has them for $119

Complete except for engines and radio.

RE: F27 Strker $31 massive upgrade guide!

Tomch,

Good point on 10-cells and overheating. I want more performance, but I do not want to burn up a speed controller, a new battery pack, or something else, I am not ready to go that far out...

RE: F27 Strker $31 massive upgrade guide!

SJ,

OK you talked me into it. I can swing two battery packs (I can't stop with just one flight) and the prop.

Maybe a dumb question, but I do not have an accurate scale. What does the...

RE: Twinstar 2

Update,

I now have about 15 flights on the twinstar, only one or two with a flame-out, no damage done, it really flies well on one engine.

Here are a few in-flight photographs from this...

RE: The Twinstar is coming back

Sledge,

Yep, been there, done that.

The way I eliminated that problem was by using a Z-bend in the linkage rather than any type of connector. In my installation, the interference was due...

RE: Twinstar question

MJD,

I would be a bit concerned about the strength of the wing joint. My twinstars (original release from 2000) did not have F/g cloth at the center of the main wing, I can not speak for the...
