RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

River Larry: my "fresh outta the box" DLE 20 runs at about 265 deg F after three full throttle runs for 6 seconds each. At first it was over 300. Then I checked the high speed needle. It was at 3/4...

RE: HABU 32?

I am also not running a separate pack for the bec. I have it wired to the 5000mah flight battery connection. If you switch over to a separate battery I would go with an 800mah.

Out of all the...

RE: HABU 32?

Hi,

By regulator we do mean BEC. Also, no matter how expensive the ESC, use an external reg/BEC in dangerous or expensive models. In the last 5 year of flying I have seen in person the most...

RE: HABU 32?

Yep. Mine seems to be installed correctly and I have the same thing. There is a couple/few people that also have this on the other thread. I left mine that way for 5 flights now. I plan to trim it...

RE: HABU 32?

Horizon responded in another thread at RCG stating that they do not test one set up and recommend another. They tested the Habu 32 in the stock gear.

BTW.. $190.00 for a 6 cell 30c 5000mah...

RE: HABU 32?

That makes sense. Another guy is getting 138mph with a high rate lipo on the other thread. I can tell you that my 4s nano lipos took 4 to 5 cycles before they came alive. And ALIVE they came. my foam...

RE: HABU 32?

Maybe try a different battery and/or balance the fan. I ordered the Nano-tech 45-90c 6s 5000 mah pack. Should have mine in the air this weekend if my retracts and battery get here in time.

RE: O.S. 25FX Back in Production!

I wish I could somehow get my money back for the AX 25. At the time of purchase I was told the FX was no longer available. I shrugged thinking... "cool. I get to have the latest and greatest from...

RE: Big Mayday!

HAHA! My wife and I enjoyed reading this thread. Hello from Sacramento California. We will be flying tomorrow in sunny skies. Although the highest temp will be 52 deg F. Kind of a cold winter day...

RE: Rudder flutter!!

It sounds odd that you only have rudder flutter when you are "on the rudder". I have cured flutter on the ground with an unlodaded controll surface by putting a rubber band around the pull pull...

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

Oopsie in my prior post. I do not run 30% nitro in the saito. I run 20/20 powermaster.

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

You are on track with taking off the wheel pants. They are likely being pulled back a little by the turf and contacting the wheel. The Saito 82 has plenty of power to get it off the ground. My Saito...

RE: 2010 Napa, CA IMAC 9/11-12 - Come Fly!

Looks like it was canceled. A huge bummer for me. I just got back from the Santa Maria contest and got the news. The Fresno IMAC is still going to happen though! I will be there.

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

Added a very small amount of up-thrust. Flying tomorrow

EDIT:

Ok.... The adjustment of up-thrust was perfect. No more dipping on throttle up. I would guess the shims I used were .015" to...

RE: 60-90 Extra 300 In Stock

There may be a snag on running the gas engine. The firewall to end of cowl is about 4 3/4 inch. You will likely have to move the firewall back to clear the gas engines. I am currently running a saito...

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

Ok.... So here's the flight report on how the Saito .82 did with a 6lb, 14oz airplane.

First take off.....

The Saito fired right up at 1.5 turns out on the high speed needle. Here are some...

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

Hey sthill,

Just saw your post about the crank breather. I did not know there was a length limit on the breather tube. I ran it out of the cowl and secured it to the landing gear. Here's a...

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

Ok... It is now flight ready. Complete assembled weight is exactly 6lb 14oz. The only weight cheat I used so far is installing an 11oz tank instead of the stock 15oz. Also note I am using a 2200mah...

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

Hey guys,

I have a Saito .82 in mine as well. I dont know exactly what Tru turn I have, but it is 2 1/4 diameter and it fits a 14/4w and 15/4w nicely. I'm not sure why, but the Saito really...

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

Take 15oz off the weight I posted for "dry" weight. (7lbs 14oz minus 15oz.) So 109oz total dry weight. 6lbs 13oz all up dry weight.

BTW. My canopy is tinted. I think my garage lighting is...

RE: Aeroworks Extra 300 60-90

To Aeroworks' defense, I have not seen better build quality for a glow intended plane. I will post pictures of the build details after I weigh everything up here in a few. My funtana did not hold up...
