Hello,
Decided to go back and fly my 2M pattern plane after 17 years of it being stored in a closet (plane is over 25 years old). Has YS 140L in it (vibrates a lot).

Hi guys,
I found my YS140FZ has both valves stuck in open position. Engine was sitting for couple of years. Initially push rod for the rocker arm wasn’t moving too but I was able to loosen it up...

I use Tetra tank, it has 45-degree angle before it goes to the back.
Clunk has maybe 1/8 ‘’ to that 45-degree side. About 3/8'' to the back.
But I’ll take a look one more time at the whole...

Had exactly the same problem with my 110.
Unscrew throttle barrel retainer and file it just a bit. That will do. No problem after that.

Have to change a wing on my TAI-JI. With cowl will cost me $250 + SH, exactly price of the Quest. May as well get fresh, new plane.

I know Quest is lighter, plus fixed LG. But it has bigger wing...

I always have 2 batteries (1100s) in the plane and the field charger in my box, so this is not a problem.
My Fut 9202 are centering a little better then HItec 5625, but they hold so much stronger....

Timing on YS engines, cam gear is it 12 or 12:30 (installed) ?

YS performance advised me for my 91 and 110 to have mark on crankshaft at 6 o’clock and mark on cam gear at 12 o’clock.
Some very experience guys recommend having mark on the cam gear at 12.30...

Clean up YS 91 after an ocean bath.

Had midair and fished it out of the ocean.
Took the engine apart and salt is everywhere. Soaked in fuel for now. Can i use gazoline to clean it up? Also did anyone used bearings after the salt...

With both 15x7 or 14x10 I don't like to exceed 9000 (~300 rpms off the max).
Depending on the weather it may go down to 8800.
When it wouldn't turn over 8600, I know it's time to change the plug.

Charger is getting very hot while charging.

I use real power supply (13.8v output, 10A).
