RE: 1:8 M1A2 Abrams scratch build

Ouch on the track price! I think if it were me and had the equipment you do I would make them myself. I would imagine them to be more time consuming than anything.

RE: 1:8 M1A2 Abrams scratch build

Will you be machining the track links separately or doing something else in this regard? I would assume that is 6061 Al you are using? Looking like a good plan so far and a nice build.

RE: TEXAS ARMOR ANNUAL SEPT BATTLE WEEKEND 2009!

Had a great time out there today and it was nice to meet you in person Thomas. The battlefield is looking great and I liked the airstrip added in as well. What was real awesome was the Forces of...

RE: TEXAS ARMOR ANNUAL SEPT BATTLE WEEKEND 2009!

I probably will drive over Saturday and get there around 10ish. My father-in-law usually meets me there and I bring my 3 year old son as well. I may switch to Sunday, just haven't decided yet. ...

RE: TEXAS ARMOR ANNUAL SEPT BATTLE WEEKEND 2009!

I will be there, but funds have not permitted for a battle system so it's spectator duty for me. I am looking forward to the planes and tanks though. Here's to hoping the A-10 that I saw in June...

RE: Autonomous King Tiger Speed Upgrade!

The motors that come with the Sidewinder package are 380 size just like what is in the tank and would be a direct drop in. The shaft size is the same as well. The advantage is higher speed, more...

RE: Autonomous King Tiger Speed Upgrade!

If you are willing to get rid of the the shooting functionality etcetera, I would go with two Castle Creations Sidewinder Micro Brushless setups. You would have to use a different control setup but...

RE: Beware of Courtney Hegler

You should be able to file a fraud claim with your bank. It will take some time but eventually you will get your money back. Most decent sized banks have 24 hour departments and call in numbers to...

RE: RCCOMMAND

I have to note that Bill is the reason I am into RC tanks as well. I met him back at a fly-in in Monaville, TX (this is the same place that Texas Armor has their battle field) and before that had...

RE: RCCOMMAND

Bill, glad to hear from you on this thread. I knew based on meeting you a couple years back at Monaville that you were a stand up guy.

I also would like you to look at this thread...

RE: Best surface to run tanks on?

I need to give those 400's a try. Are you running them with the RX14 or RX18 board? Also are you using a fan on the board as well?

I have got the snow tracks for the PZIII from impakt and they...

RE: RCCOMMAND

I also am in the RR Hobby as a hobbyist only. I have seen and know that RR fans, especially in the HO scale are the most hardcore and unforgiving in any hobby. God bless anyone who has to deal with...

You created a label for yourself when you made the post. You opened it up for discussion and critique when you posted on a public forum. You made your observations and I and others made mine. That...

RE: RCCOMMAND

One should only hope a person would not treat you this way if someone close to you passes away.

It's a toy tank not a matter of life and death. Bill's is a small shop, he does what he can.

RE: Best surface to run tanks on?

Replace all of your grass with golf course bermuda and cut it really short.

It's just the nature of the mechanics that grass will give these tanks a fit. Too many things for the tracks to grab...

RE: Best $8 you will ever spend on your Tamiya!

RE: Best $8 you will ever spend on your Tamiya!

Easiest way to limit turret speed rotation and gun elevation would be a simple resistor.

RE: Progress on my M4A1E8 Sherman Build

I have never understood why Tamiya in so many of there RC kits have some aversion to bearings. It is also a major issue in the Hi-Lift kits which sell for 4-600 dollars as well. Most every high end...

RE: Best $8 you will ever spend on your Tamiya!

Yeah, because since us HL users only have fake radios it's damn amazing we ever get them to run!

It would work with the HL's fine with aftermarket electronics and could probably still be...
