I totally agree, i don't think you need a new piston and sleeve or a new engine unless you really want to buy one.
Its likely your low speed needle setting is too lean, so it won't start when hot....

Depends on the climate in your area for the glow plug, i'm running a medium temp GP, Mccoy MC8, OFNA medium or the best yet OS8 !
Needle settings are gonna be hard to tell, reffer to your manual...

The stock motor may seem weak (non-turbo .12), but in my opinion it lacks nothing besides a good pipe. I ran my G4S over the weekend and kicked the pants off a few evolvas (yeah 1/8 scale big boys)...
