RE: O.S. Engines now made in China

"Made in China...it's the new "Made in Japan" "

RE: O.S. Engines now made in China

I'm sad to hear that. Hopefully the four strokes will continue to be made in Japan.

RE: Spektrum users BEWARE!

Could be caused by continuous vibration but could be a manufacturing defect too . Try to relieve the strain where the connector and cable join by securing the body of the cable to something solid...

RE: OS FS-60 muffler?

Apparantly the old FS-60 runs fine (4-stroke / narrow carb intake) with no exhaust pressure. But I have seen them used with an old FS-40 muffler (the one that uses a grub screw to attach it to the...

RE: Futaba 6014 heat failure (crash)

I agree with this and perform my own "running in" excercise on all new gear - specially Tx and Rx. The radio gear gets cycled for 5-10hrs usually (often during a build I just leave everything on to...

RE: Tired of waiting on Hitec/Multiplex for 2.4GHz Module

Hitec seemingly lost the plot years ago in terms of ongoing radio development. They are basically a servo company now - at least in my view. Multiplex makes good gear but dithering on 2.4G. Times are...

RE: "Higher-End" Chargers

Schulze chargers are some of the best available, but pricey. The new "Next" generation are top spec and have everything you could want from a multi-chemistry charger. I got the Next 7.36-12 because...

RE: high capacity AA NiMH questions

If you need to use AA (eg: TX or replacement of stock RX pack), then get some low-self-discharge sanyo eneloop packs made up and never look back.

RE: New Frequency Hopping Spektrum?

Thanks for the info folks. It'll be interesting to see if JR/Spektrum migrate to a 'DSM3' type system for Europe.

RE: New Frequency Hopping Spektrum?

"Paul Beard has been making the claim that DSM2 should be allowed under the FHSS rules of the ETSI. This would allow for 100 mW EIRP. Otherwise, DSSS can only use 10 mW which is marginal for large...

RE: Request the 12X manual be made available

With no manual to check the specs, how are we supposed to evaluate the 12x when deciding whether or not to pre-order? Guess one needs to wait for the product release before getting in the queue.
