Ya, i think I will worry about a different motor later on. All I have even bought is the kit. I need to worry about getting a radio and a ESC before I worry about the next motor going in it!!

Ya, I realize what the motor turns means, I just don't really know what is common. As for the Tamiya kit, I emailed them and the motor is a 27 turn, so I guess any old ESC will do, but I will...

Ya, I guess its not like I will be running it through rivers in the rain, so a waterproof ESC isn't totally nececary, just nice I guess. Other than that can you guys recomend a good mid range ESC? ...

Actually I did order the Tamiya.

The part number is #58257 though :confused:


I think perhaps last years model?

Or did I mess up? I have the spec sheet and it has bearings listed.

I really don't plan on racing anybody, so that doesnt make a whole lot of differance, and I would like whichever one is more offroady (I just made that word up).

Ya, I like the HPI a little more I think, although I do like the idea of having the shaft drive as opposed to the belts. Seems like it would be less to worry about.

I just bought a Duratrax Evader ST last weekend and I think it is awesome. My next car will be a rally car. Personally I am leaning towards the HPI over the Tamiya though.
