Thanks for the heads up i didnt think a glow plug would take that much amperage

I was thinking abut doing the exact same thing only using a lm317 regulator
is there a reason you went with the lm338? how much current does a glow plug draw?
I thought the lm317 rated at 1.5...

I was thinking about the same sort of thing. Instead of having a seperate battery for my glow plug using the current from my roto starter. The rotostarter has a small plug on it to plug in a charger...
