I am running the hpi ones and they work well IMO. As for the advantages, they save spur gears from melting, expecially with the 4.6. That is from personal experience.

if u look on the side of the driveshaft cup there should be a pin in there. yours looks a little different than mine. try to see if the cup is spinning on the shaft.

the same thing happened to me on my ss 4.6. it turned out that the cup with the brake on it had lost its setscrew/pin that holds it on the transmition shaft. hope this helps

I use a compressor to blow it off and sometimes i use twezers or pliers to pick out the leftover grass. If u want it sparkling clean I use like 4o9 or mr. clean multipurpose cleaner.
