RE: Gear Ratio ?

I have a XX4 and a XXT that are both over heating. With the XX4 I tried a 12 turn motor with a 78T Spur and a 21 and 19 Pinion. It over heats badly with both. I'm not sure but I may be setting the...

Gear Ratio ?

I am trying to find a gear ratio chart that would give me a start on matching motor/pinion/spur for best performance and run times. Anyone know where a chart like that might be?

Thanks in...

RE: JP1 or JP3 for Losi Mach 427

Some one would have to see it to know if it's a tight track or not. Most tight tracks have a short distance from one obstacle to the next and to turns.

The JP-3 would work great on most any...

RE: JP1 or JP3 for Losi Mach 427

JP-1, 13 tooth clutch bell and light springs on the clutch shoes for a tight track with a descent straight but lots of turns and jumps every where else. That's the setup I used and it made the buggy...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

The addendum's will do wonders. Losi even builds their 8ight-T rollers using the servo tray addendum.

I wouldn't put anything between the chassis and the servo bottom. Even foam rubber will take...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

Actually they do have a design defect. That is why they did more R&D and came up with the radio tray and throttle linkage addendum's. They fix the problems with the design of the tray and the flex in...

RE: Losi 8ight buggy or Revo 3.3 or losi 8ight T

I have an 8ight Buggy and a REVO. I'm selling or trading my Buggy because I just didn't enjoy racing it. Too many serious people who don't know how to have fun (JMO). On the other hand the Monster...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

Gold and green springs on mine also. It gives it much better punch from the start. Also the 8ight RTR comes with a 14 tooth clutch bell. Our track is short with lots of corners and jumps so I put on...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

On your 8ight throttle servo problems use the info Losi gives for setting it up and removing the binding caused by chassis flex. The servo tray addendum helps eliminate flex problems and the set up...

RE: OFFICIAL Losi 8ight rtr thread!

If the 8ight T RTR is as bad as the 8ight Buggy RTR plan on buying upgrades right away. Chassis flex and weak shock towers were the first things I replaced and probably will be the first on the T'....

RE: Losi 8ight chassis flex effect on throttle servo

I had to upgrade my chassis to the Pro Kit version to fix my throttle servo problem. Once I installed the kit chassis it has been good since. Also the RTR shock towers are cheap and bend easily. I...

RE: Losi 8ight RTR VS 8ight pro Kit

The RTR is Ok but it can't take a lot of abuse. The chassis is made of much weaker aluminum and it is not milled or anodized like the kit. Also the shock caps are plastic and the kit is aluminum. The...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

Had to fix the link above.

It's a little odd that a company that sells hundreds of products such as buggies and truggies doesn't have parts available to fix them. I would say there's a reason...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

Out of stock and back ordered.[&o];)

The Muggy is having the same problems, most stuff is back ordered. I get every thing I need that I can't get from my LHS from Bmain or Ebay.

Front Tower...

RE: When will we see the Losi 8ight???

Clutches seem to be one of Losi's biggest problems with some of their Nitro cars (Muggy, 8ight). I use the stock shoes but went to lighter springs (Green/carbon, Black/alu) and haven't had a problem...

RE: Engine problems

The LHS owner said low compression keeps fuel from reaching the plug causing it to burn out. It does seem to do it more when it's being run slow? Seems odd that would happen but might be true.

I...

RE: Engine problems

I'll order them tomorrow. Other than possibly burning up glow plugs what does an improperly shimmed head do to the engine itself?

RE: steering servo for hyper 7

That one's a little weak for racing. The Hitech above would work well but there's no getting around the quality, speed and strength of the Airtronics 94358. They're a quality servo, no doubt about...

RE: Engine problems

The fuel is the race blend and the car has about 2.5 gallons through it. I'll check for an air leak but there is plenty of blue smoke .

Engine problems

I'm running the Losi Mach427 and I think it's dying. I know the compression is low. I can stick a finger in and turn the flywheel without to much effort. But, when it's running it runs very good and...
