RE: Building and tuning, Bud Bottle Mufflers.

Steve, when I made my can mufflers for the BME 115 I screwed up the internal baffling. The aluminum tube inside the muffler is suppose to have exit holes into the can, a gasket silicone plug ½ way...

RE: Building and tuning, Bud Bottle Mufflers.

Aircraft Internation has the KS Flex header part # KS42056. It says BME 110 but it fits the 115 also. The header has a drop of only 1.625 inches. Flex header's or mine at least leak a lot of the oil....

RE: Home Depot epoxy for fiberglass cowl?

Thanks dreadnaut. That I did not know. The green flower shop foam will work just fine to give me my basic cowl shape. And I can use the boat repair kit to lay down the glass cloth. Should work.

RE: What is the disadvantage of Y connecting 2 batteries into the receiver?

What is involved Y connecting through a Servo. Is it just a matter of connecting servo to Y and battery to Y then into the receiver?

RE: Building and tuning, Bud Bottle Mufflers.

I just finished the Laser and had the first test flight using the Bud mufflers. They work great and help me keep the weight down. No need to buy a muffler again.

RE: Power system setup questions

George, would 2 of the 1100's in place of the 2300's give you all you need for the receiver and servo's? I am getting my own 100cc ready and from everything I read the two 1100"s should be plenty.

RE: Scratch built Sukhoi engine.

A good broken in 180 should have more power than a new 220. It takes a few flights to get the best power from any new motor. Try the 180 and you may find that this works for you.

RE: Building and tuning, Bud Bottle Mufflers.

High Temperature Copper Silicone. Does it make sense to use this to seal the aluminum tube going into and out of the can? It’s a tight fit anyway, would the exhaust just blow it out?

RE: My home built trailer

I just caught a deal at the Harbor Freight store. The 4x8 trailer with the 12 inch wheels was on sale for $249. I had to take a rain check as they were out of stock, but they owe me one at this price.
