Ok, now I'm really confused. If I read your explanation correctly the stems of the poppets DO NOT go into the ports, but rather into the springs. This is NOT what the exploded view of the YS 140DZ...

I'm absolutely out of ideas on my YS 140 DZ engine rebuild.
I've replaced both bearings, cranksft ring, and piston ring with no problem.
Even honed the inside of the liner.

TW. Cyl head, push rod...everything has been removed. Bob Kane has been advising me on this one, but even he is stumped on how to remove this stuck cam.

I had considerable trouble removing the cam cover but finally managed to get it free.
The cam itself is another story...I cannot budge it.

Explain "With Options"

On all of the sequences the "humpty bump" is desceribed "with options". The (AMA Comp Regs) Aresti figure shows a half roll on the upline, but it also shows an insert with what appears to be 1/4...

Our club is putting the hammer down on noise. My Fuji 50 with a 20 X 10 prop and stock mufffler is pretty noisy. What is recommended for quieting this thing down?

I really wasn't lobbying for a free muffler because I plan on replacing it with a Pitts muffler. But....if YS will replace it, what the heck!

Yup, muffler was in the airstream and the engine gets pleanty of cooling. I've already decided to get a Pitts muffler for it. It's too darn cold to be flying much more this year so it will be ready...
