RE: Too light?

Lighter is always better. Case closed.

Weight/mass is the enemy is any racing condition. What is racing anyways? It's a change in speed or direction, straight line or a combination of...

RE: help finding transponder mount for Hyper 7

Just FYI, if you're racing and your body comes off, you're out of the race.

I don't know of any tracks that will let you race w/o a body.

Worse comes to worse, find a piece of scrap...

RE: Flywheel/Clutch shoes/Clutch Bell - what am I doing wrong?

Sorry, just re-read your 1st post where you said it was a new flywheel..

My bad. It's def something in the area though as you should have some shaft sticking out form the CB.

Are you using...

RE: Flywheel/Clutch shoes/Clutch Bell - what am I doing wrong?

First try using the collet that came with your flywheel.. Not the engine.

95% sure that's where your prob lies(from my experience).

RE: Flywheel/Clutch shoes/Clutch Bell - what am I doing wrong?

Which collet are you using?

Sounds like yer flywheel is not seated all the way and you don't have enough shaft sticking out from the clutch bell. The assembly should not bind when you tighten...

RE: what brand servos seem the BEST

One more vote for ACE.

The only servo's I'll ever buy for anything I'm using competitively.

RE: Bought Turmoil RTR instead of 8ight.. Will I regret??

Great rigs. I hang just fine at the track with mine.

It should be noted that I'm not being beat by better buggies, but by better drivers.

One fellow at our track totally kills when he...

RE: On-Road Tyres?

I hate to make a blanket statement, but that won't stop me from doing it now.

Pro-line is total garbage. The only thing I've ever bought from them and actually ended up liking is their High...

RE: IF YOURE GOING TO BUY A RASCAL READ THIS FIRST

Coouple tips that would probably smooth over you complaints.

High idle - You're likely too lean on the low end. Fatten it up.

Body/pullctart issue - Line the opening with a length of...

RE: help buggy runs hot

Replace your fuel line. There's probably a rupture near the carb nipple.

Had this happen a couple times myself. My general rule of thumb now is that if the engine does anything weird, replace...

RE: finally race ready!

Looks good.

One thing, is it just the the way I'm seeing it, or is your fuel line running right next to(and probably touching) your pipe?

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Mayhem arms are identical. There's only like 4 parts that the turmoil uses that the mayhem doesn't.

Ofna chrome-top with the single 12v is killer. Cranks the tightest engines, and only...

RE: Best BANG for BUCK .21 engine

Where are you finding the SW21 V2 for $140?

That's about $40 cheaper than I've seen it.

Def a good deal there. My SW26 has over 10gals on it and is still goin strong.

RE: Best BANG for BUCK .21 engine

I can't really say anything about STS mills. The one I had bad luck on was a dadders mod engine, and it puked after only a couple weekends of racing. So I'll refrain from commenting about quality...

RE: changing shock oil

I don't go that far, I'm lazy!

My method:

I dump as much as I can and then work the shock a bit to get any additional oil out. Then I partially fill the shock with the crappy old 30wt I've...

RE: STS clutch shoes and springs Review

Never liked aluminum shoes, but at that price I might have to give em a try.

With 2 sets of springs it works out to be a pretty good deal. [8D]

RE: Difference between Turmoil RTR and Pro?

Couples more things to add off the top of my head:

Hinge pin braces and bulkeheads - They are CNC instead of cast aluminum.

Radio tray is better quality. Aluminum and design.

Radio...

RE: Jammin JP3 pipe runs REALLY HOT!!??

How are you measuring the temps?

If you're using IR, then it's likely just a difference in emissivity.

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Hardpack you say? Run 10-10-2 in the diffs. I know, sounds extreme, but you'll handle like you're on rails. On power steering is exceptional. Also, I like 40-45wt in the shocks. firm enough for...
