RE: Please direct me to an online store that will ship a SIG kit to Australia

Happy to help. If you are not successful with them, also try Airsail, another kiwi company that handles Sig kits.

RE: Please direct me to an online store that will ship a SIG kit to Australia

Try here. http://www.the436modelshop.co.nz

Prices and stock levels are on the website and the Aussie dollar is always way stronger than the Kiwi. Goods usually arrive in a couple of days.

RE: Electric 1/4 Spitfire MK1A full composite

Actually, the sound of the undercarraige hitting the ground on landing sounds very much like the typical popping and crackling a Merlin makes when throttled back. Have a closer listen to the video.

RE: Electric 1/4 Spitfire MK1A full composite

The Spitfire, the video and the pilot who flew the model in a very Spitfire like manner are all simply outstanding. With a pilot on board and maybe a slightly slower turn after landing this would...

RE: Clark 1/4 Spitfire

This Spit just doesn't seem to have the correct amount of dihedral to me. Could be an optical illusion I guess.

RE: Needed- Supermarine logo

I doubt you will find a Supermarine logo as the company was acquired by Vickers sometime around 1928.
Prior to this the actual name of the company was Pemberton-Billing, Ltd, Supermarine only being...

I find the most convenient solution is to buy the entire finish system from holts auto Powerplus Products. These are spray packs available in 2 sizes from any auto accessory store, Bunnings etc.

RE: Spitfire roundel standards ?

It's actually a RAF 17 SQN Spitfire in SEAC markings. This particular aircraft was flown by "Ginger" Lacey.
The roundel sizes are accurate.

RE: VAT and other Woes for Overseas Customers

Look on the bright side Peter. A recent amendment to Australia's Customs law has raised the duty free limit to $1000 AU. This would make most imported RC items effectivly duty and GST free.

RE: TF Contender

It's probably worth mentioning that Hoerner tips are an attempt to reduce induced drag caused by the wingtip vortices.

Adverse yaw and dihedral are entirely different subjects.
