Micro X thunder 358

Purchased and flown one briefly today. Does anyone have any hints or tips to prolong its life and generally to help me get the best out of it?

Apart from that, loving it. Going to get a friend...

RE: Possible To Drift With A Nitro Buggy?

Don't use ABS or PVC, you will ruin your engine. Also, cut more air-cooling holes out of the body, there's much less air coming through. I recommend using actual nitro-drift tyres for nitro-drifting,...

RE: TT01 upgrade parts are mostly useless!

How does the plastic propshaft cope with BL? How come the steering assembly hasn't been shattered by the driveshaft hitting it?

I suppose it helps the drivetrain, as the plastic driveshaft will...

RE: Nitros can drift to!!!

Pretty much anything can drift.

2wd can drift. Nitro can drift. Electric and 4wd drifts better though.

It's a bit like the 2wd/4wd debate D: Only less clear cut. Nitro for drift is like a...

RE: locking frount diff

GTB knows nothing, then. It will make you understeer.

Don't lock the front.

RE: First Drift Accident (damage) pics!

So.. after that read- no damage!

Lucky :D

I went backwards first into a wall on Sunday and dethreaded the front diff case and lost a screw on my tt01. I also rounded off 2 (plastic) hexes...

RE: windows vista

The theme pack doesn't skin XP, it replaces the file that Windows uses to validate visual styles to allow 3rd party visual styles to be run. It uses the same amount of power as the XP Blue style...

RE: GOING FOR 100MPH OR DIE TRYING.......

Are you going to build an undertray for the car so that there is as little drag as possible on the inside of the body. Someone with a high speed EP with a Corvette shell made one of those out of CF....

RE: New cyclone on its way

If you haven't bought a 19t motor already a brilliant one for drifting is the Yokomo D1SP, which is the D1RC motor of choice in the series.

RE: NEXT Tamiya car...

I'm torn on my next one. I'm thinking of not getting a new one and shoehorning some TL01 RA bits onto my tt01, or getting a TXT-1 and going crawling. The problem is that I have just about the right...

RE: The Truth about the Tamiya TEU101-BK ESC

Uhh- Chris. you misinformed me :P
Well, useful to know. Stops me from melting an ESC thinking it can take an RR or summat o.0

RE: I thinks it complete??!?!

Bingo. It allows the rear wheels to lock up (like an e-brake) while letting the front wheels continue spinning, so they have some grip. This lets them flick the tail out into the slide, and then you...

RE: Do buggies also run well on short grass??

Ideally you shuld post this in the Nitro section, not the Electric, but I'm splitting feathers...

Yes. My bro used a good few buggies on short grass and they don't slow down much, if at all!

RE: any 1:1 drifters?

Quote of the day.

That made me disregard that whole post in its entirety. If you don't understand something, don't make a massive post making out you do understand it, and poke that comment in...

RE: Mini-T Drifter

It isn't realistically possible. The lack of sheer mass of chassis doesn't let us drift with rubber tyres in RC drift, we have to resort to a more slippery compound. Add to this the fact that there...

Right. This is my drift setup. It is all you need (and slightly more)
I have beaten a fully modded TA03R with this setup, on my first ever attempt at drifting :D

RE: Bringing 1/64 hobby grade racing to reality!!!

The problem you have is that this scale is very experimental, there isn't anything available for it, and you're making the push. All I can say is, reserve me one when you've got all of these problems...

RE: Bringing 1/64 hobby grade racing to reality!!!

I got a mini lipo charger thing with a mini IR helicopter. I left it at my mums house, so I can't show you, but it's good. Charges a 180mAh LiPo in half an hour, using AA batteries.
