Getting scratches out of MONOKOTE ??

How DO you get the scratches out of monokote to get a perfect mirror finish? I'm talking about the fine scratches left by my cotton covered sealing iron, mostly on the high spots.

How are U guys mounting the sure start?????

You can't mount these sure starts flush to a firewall....some kind of stand offs are needed...how are u mounting these????

You might have something there ....never heard of polyhedral....of course p[olydihedral is more than one "bend" in the wing.

Guys, I am going to go with the smallest physical sized servos I can get away with...from experience on this type of plane what is the MIN torque I could get away with on ail and elevator?

Building the basic fuse as shown is the most difficult part (of any kit). Make sure all the bulkheads are square, and that the fuse sides are perfectly aligned over the plans. Just tack glue...

Dave so far so good, but I'm doing this one down n dirty....I am not taking the time to notch the TE and LE, just installing ribs over plans and sanding ribs to fit as needed. Your plans are perfect...

FB ,exactly, trailing edge pinned down ribs glued to TE and bottom sheeting (everything pinned down first), the lined up the LE as careful as possible and glued freehand with fast ca.

Cut ribs from plans then cut ribs from balsa. Wing is now pretty much framed up. Weight about 11 grams here.

This will be 4 channels, with a Cox surestart non r/c.

I am going to experiment with in flight mixture control to act as a semi throttle by pinching the fuel line with the thottle servo.
