RE: Sig King Kobra Build

As long as the ladies are happy, everybody's happy....... Now if you REALLY want to score some points (and perhaps a new kit on her) make the plane's tail number the month and day of her birthday.

Hello all,

I'm finally  back to working on my King  Kobra.    I'm wrapping up the fuselage construction and am starting to think ahead about a pilot.   What  are you using  for a  jet bust...

Dan,

Fantastic looking KK,  did you use a stencil for the bird on the underside?  How did you do your canopy?<br type="_moz"/>

RE: Sig King Kobra Foam Wings & Retracts Question

Yeah, I'm following Mike's lead. I have one retract plate installed & will finish the second one soon. I'm taking some pics so I'll turn this into a build thread as well. However, my documentation...

RE: Top Flite Cessna 182 build

Teookie,

Another muffler option would be Slimline. They have a pitts-style specifically designed for the 91 FX. It should fit completely within the cowl and from what I've heard the engine...

RE: Sig King Kobra Build

Thanks for the advice, Mike. I'm going to use the dowel anchoring method as suggested. Besides, it probably would have been a royal pain to deal with two spars while trying to join the wing halves...

RE: Sig King Kobra Foam Wings & Retracts Question

Thanks for the reply, David. Yeah, I've been following that thread for quite a while, in fact it's what finally pushed me over the edge & got me to buy the KK. I know Mike is using the dowel...

RE: Sig King Kobra Build

Thanks for the reply, Mike. I probably looked at the Dubro axles a dozen times but didn't need them at the time so I payed no attention. Other than not having to bend the strut wire & having some...

RE: Sig King Kobra Build

I have a feeling the Sig guy just meant the Gorilla Glue was going to foam up when applied. I'm guessing they say that that to cover themselves in case a customer uses GG without the proper clamps &...

RE: Seagull's "Dual Ace"

Matt,

I think you'd see an improvement in performance if you switched out the Master Airscrew 10x6's for equivalent APCs or Graupners. Not trying to step on any toes, but I've always noticed...

RE: Sig King Kobra Build

Mike,

How are the wing halves joined? Are they simply butt glued & a fiberglass strip used at the joint? I didn't see a spar & I'm sure you would have included a photo of it's installation.

RE: Assembling Slimline Pro cap-help needed

Omar,

The large orange o-ring goes inside the cap and sits as deep in the cap as possible, in the inside corners. It's purpose is to seal the cap to the jug. The other orange o-ring goes on...
