RE: Long Ranger Projects

Props4ever

Could you post pics of the inside of your heli ? I'd like to see how the mechanics are attached to the fuselage, as I have a Hawk sport and the long ranger fuselage to install on it.

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Jerry

I disagree about the plane beeing junk. The wing is glued to the spar and to the side of the fuselage in the wing cutout. The wings need to be aligned carefully when gluing and the glue...

RE: Century Predator Gasser v/s MA Spectra G v/s Vario Benzin Acrobatic

Gfyss

I intend to buy a Vario benzin trainer to put in a scale body later. I don't plan on 3D but want dependability, ease of building and enough power so it can easily haul its weight around...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Indeed the plane is very well flyer. Tracks true, lots of performance with the recommended power system or equivalent, flies like a lot bigger airplane and flies like an Extra !! Have a ball !!

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Bob,

The desigh of the wing will make it impossible to be made removable. Each wing sits in a recess along the fuselage but only the spar joins both wing panel. The root ribs of each panel do...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Kom,

I looked at the chart for your AXI motor and, although I am not an expert at choosing an electric system, the chart says that this motor will fly with 3D performance an airplane of 28...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Brent,

Congrats for your maiden ! How long did your flight last ? And if you went for a 4 or 5 min flight, how much current did you put back in your battery ?

Try a transmitter mitt for...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Brent,

Indeed the power system in the extra is very good. The most important thing to remember is to land before the voltage cutoff of the esc stops the motor. The plane will glide OK but it...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Brent,

Did the same with the wheel pants. The wheels are small but on our short cut runway I never had a problem. Too bad you had problem with your covering. It is monokote and usually of good...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Hi Brent !

I began electric flight last summer but now I have a Dornier twin motor on the bench to build, I also bought an helimax MX400 pro electric heli, and I put a brushless motor in my...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Brenthampton79,

I am sure your motor won't have any problem flying your plane. The plane is very light and it will deliver enough power to do aerobatics. I do not know about unlimited vertical...

Wedgewing, your report reminds me of flying my extra. Seems to be flying like mine (heck, should be !).
Feels kind of funny reading about snow at this time of year, because on the front of the...

Great pics Wedgewing

I found no problem with the stock wheels on our grass flying field, but the lawn is cut very short. No problem either with the control links. Hope you like the plane.

RE: T-Rex 450 SE or MX400 Pro

Thanks Peter for your input. I bought Futaba s3114 servos in place of the recommended s3107. Just small difference in dimensions but the performance specs are much better and the 3114 weights less. ...

RE: Electrifly Extra 330s

Thanks wedgewing !

Maybe you could play with the holes on your servo arms and/or surfaces control arms to remove some twitchiness? It would make the plane less manoeuvrable in extreme attitudes...

Also, you said that the mini-pulse XT is not that good a flyer, can you elaborate? I think i saw some...
