Thanks for all the avise, I now have a hell of a lot of info from working out the max speed of motor/car to max lipo amp draw to working out the watts of the battery and how long the battery should...

The problem is that I can't change the gear ratio from the gear ratios that I have listed above without some major modifacations which I was trying to avoid.

most .18 size engines will fit with the standard clutch system. The easiest way to find a carby for the engine is to measure the throat of the carby where it goes into the engine and match one up...
