RE: Noob Li battery question

Don't do it. The lithium ion batteries will NOT handle the amp draw from RC use.

RE: gws zero cg

It all depends on which motor you have.

300c will not fly well with a 7.2 volt battery, if at all. I use a 9.6 volt 650 mah with a 9x7 prop. Flies great. ICS100 also.

350c will fly with...

Balance it on the spar or just behind it with battery installed. Mine is about 3 mm behind the spar and flies great. :D

What size battery are you using?

RE: Yard stick or Slow Stick?

I have seen video of a SS flying in a gym. The only thing worth noting is that the wingspan of the SS is large - I think it is about 44".

RE: Buying 1st airplane, want a warbird

Definitely go the slowstick route. Get yourself a good 4 channel radio setup that can be used in future planes.

If you decide to go with a warbird you will have one flight then Boom!

RE: gws zero question

if you just want to use 3 channels - use Ailerons, Elevator and Throttle. NOT R,E,T.

Up the battery Voltage. At least 8.4. I use 9.6 volts 650mah 2/3AA batts with a 9x7 slow fly prop. ...

RE: flat edge with flat performance !

I didn't think the 350c motors needed to be retimed. I only retime the old GWS 300 motors - and only about 3-4mm at most - line the red dot up with the crimp on the casing.

I use 3s 1200mah...

RE: 1st Electric for Experienced Gas Guy?

I would suggest you start out with NiMh batteries because you can buy good packs for about $15 - $20 and can use the charger you already own.

As stated above - Lithium Poly batteries cost more...

RE: GWS glue is shameful

Worked fine for all 3 of my planes.

If you don't like the GWS glue use epoxy or foam safe CA.

A10 dissapointment

Is it a GWS A-10?

If you want to stay with a 6 cell 7.2v pack then get a pack with a higher MAH rating.

You can try a 7 cell (8.4volts) or 8 cell (9.6volts) pack and you should see increased...

the LA's tend to have more play (Shaft moves in and out) than the FX engines.
