RE: fuji film canister tanks

I have been using Kodak film canisters for fuel tanks. They have worked fine for me. I have three in use now. I can't use a fuel pump because it pops off the lid so I use a 2-ounce syringe.

My first time flying a Diamond Dust

Hand launching the DD works very good, but someone has to help and you need to hold the DD to start and adjust the engine.

My DD launcher is used for starting and adjusting the engine. ...

For my 16th birthday in 1940 my two aunts and two uncles chipped in to buy me a mighty atom engine and a free flight kit. That was big money then. I used white gasoline and 90-weight oil for fuel. ...

What do you LIKE the most about this hobby

I like hot dog flying and watching others fly, even trainers. At the field I like to talk RC, and a joke or two, not about vintage cars, fishing ext. So I generally sit alone and watch the planes...

Anyone Flying a Magic Extra Yet?

I like the airplane except for the thin weak fuselage. A hard landing tore the front end off. I repaired it and reinforced it with plywood. The next hard landing broke the fuselage. I have made...

Build your own PBF (Pizza Box Flyer, Flying Pizza Box)

I use a 2 inch foam wheel with a 1/8 wire strut. I have to straighten the strut after most landings but it is light.

What are people doing with their time?

I don’t know where the time goes. I don’t seem to have as much time as I did when I was working and had kids at home. I don’t watch much TV especially reality shows. I watch some of the news and I...

Join a club? Whats the benefit?

Been there Tommygun.
I have been in a lot of clubs and most of them have been good. In some of them the blue hairs try to kill all of the fun with their new rules at each meeting. The best group I...

Anyone Flying a Magic Extra Yet?

Roadhor;
No, I might fix my MX and use it as a trainer. I am surprised that only the wing was destroyed as weak as that section of the fuselage is.

I don’t have the desire to spend a lot of time building. I fly whenever I can. I like to buy a well-built plane. Most of the time I have to settle on a RAF and some of them are pretty good. They...
