RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

The Apathy is the worst part ...

I think I'd be calling the mayor's office, telling them that this is unacceptable.
Tell them that if they don't (or say they can't) do anything about it, then...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

That looks like it might be an inexpensive way to go SE, Taz.
It's almost cheap enough that you wouldn't be out too much even in a worst case scenerio.
I think if I had the bucks to invest, I'd...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

That's great news Taz and Es-R-Gr8 !
I think you'll really enjoy the Falcon, a couple of low cost upgrades like the setscrews will help make life easier, get her balanced out and check the screws...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

Hi Lorne,

I had main gear wobble a while back. It was after a minor blade strike (hit the grass), so I figured it was the main shaft.
I replaced the main shaft and still had some wobble but I...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

DIY Tailboom ...
You can use a Shogun V1 tail rotor gear box (plastic and aluminum should both be available) ... I hear that it works great.

Hi Moosemanty,

The titanium ones are sold out right now, but you can get a high speed steel one until the titanium ones are available again.

Microheli Tail Shafts

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

Hey Huminski,

I like the yellow, looks good with the polished aluminum!
I plan on yellow too, maybe with some black accent lines.

Yours is a fine looking heli now, good job!

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

As far as the blades go, 315's are the best fit for the Falcon.
Trex blades are known to work fine, don't go with any that are longer than 315 or you risk chopping off the vertical stabilizer or...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

How's your Center of gravity?
You can check this by making sure that the heli is level (front to back).
Place the main blades in line with the tailboom extended front to back, hold the tips of...

RE: New Falcon 3D spinning like a top!!

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

Yup, good to go!
Just take your time and take a couple of photos of the heli before you dis-assemble anything major. (especially the Shaft Collar locations)
The only really tricky part is making...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

I've got a 2200mAh 15C and two OEM stock lipos for mine, but the 2200mAh is too big for the battery compartment and I have to strap it on underneath it.
Not ideal, but it's super stable with the...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

I have the CPD4 on mine ... works great.
The FS8 costs a bit more and I think you need to get some type of delay circuit if you use it on the Falcon, but I believe it will work. (Unless you already...

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

That's pretty cool, I like the way the strobe shows which is the front of the heli so I suppose if you were good enough you could fly it at night.

RE: New Mini Electric is here the Falcon 3D!!

Hi TheRone,

CA stands for CyanoAcrylates ... Superglue, Crazyglue etc. are CyanoAcrylates.
I just buy it at the hardware store, auto parts store, even the Mini-Mart.
