RE: Weeks Solution

Does the new airfoil help the snaps? I've built both the 70" standard and 77" X. The X flew great but I like the looks of the 70" better. The X had bigger wings and tail, a longer fuselage but...

RE: 3W Casting Imperfections

We've had a rash of casting problems with 3W-106s around here (3 of 5 at our field this year). After the engine is fired up, you can see the case oozing goo from the imperfection. One guy fixed his...

Cannisters...what are the differences between the mfg?

I'm getting ready to buy my fist set of cannisters and would like to know the differences between the mfgs. My observations to date, though limited to my own field, seem to show some brand loyalty...

RE: 41% Eye Candy

Bass,
That donkey Jeff can give you all the gouge on Pax, both the area and the club. Jeff should have his 41% ready anytime, then he needs to bring that thing up for a show-and -tell and to pass...

RE: 41% Eye Candy

Tom,
How hard is it to remove the rudder? How much time to re-assemble and re-rig the controls? Next time you have an assembled 41% fuse handy, can you measure from the prop washer to the rudder...

RE: Vess props

I tried the 27B in place of a Mejzlik 27-10. The Vess pulled good but made far more noise. I took it off after that one flight because it was so loud. Maybe my 3W-106 would be better suited for a...

RE: DR Hobbies Extra 1/3 scale

The only thing special about the 3W-106 I used was that is was already in my shop and not mounted on an airframe. I've had excellent results with my BME-105 on a Comp-Arf 2.6 Extra (sold the plane...

RE: DR Hobbies Extra 1/3 scale

I've own them both and still have the DR. As already mentioned, the DR uses a wing tube vice the blade spar. The other major difference is the firewall location. The DR as the firewall moved back...

RE: Smart-Fly power extender???

Thanks for the reponse, but I need one that is compatible with JR.

The difference would be the shape and order of the plugs for the receiver.

NeoGenesis,

I don't see it in the classifieds, though I may be looking in the wrong spot. Is it for JR and how much?

His is J220FS, mine is J120FS. What is the difference?

RE: Fuel tubing size - what size do I use?

I agree 150cc can run a small size to the carb. I use the larger tubing elsewhere only to speed up the fueling process.

RE: Fuel tubing size - what size do I use?

It doesn't matter for the carb feed. I run a 3 line tank system and do run a larger line on the fuel/defuel port and the fuel can to speed the fueling process, it's not needed but helps if your...
