Ive used the power gearbox using 1/4 scale winch servos. It is simple and constructed very well! The bigger pan & tilt is almost the same thing so I would rate it about the same. Tons of power!

It is 640x480. Color is ok if you tune it in right. It does well outdoors and in high light but indoors it has a hard time seeing in dark places.

I used a small "sugar cube" cam in my RealDriver project. It was around $50. You can find them all over the net, just search for 1.2GHz wireless camera.

In confined spaces it's not as easy as you might think. It is very easy to get too close to an object and have the wheels get hung up. I think a fisheye lens or another camera with a wider viewing...

The visor allows me to see what is coming out of the camera, its actually like looking at a big screen tv about 6 feet away. It acts like a second monitor attached to the PC.
