Looking for a simple, quick build suitable for entry in VR/CS events. Does anyone have any experience with the Wolfmeister LR-3, MAN plan 333 dating back to '66?

A few of my clubmates are building Whimpy's as we speak. Our club treasurer took the plans from the Whimpy he flew for about 12 years and had them enlarged to a 9 ft....
