RE: what's wrong with these people

Totally agreed.

I have run into people on RCU that think their **** doesn't stink. They think they're experts on every subject. They go to the most rediculous extents in a pathetic attempt to...

RE: HPI K5.9 Vs. Pro.28 ?

I don't know much about the SC8, but the platform kind of looks similar to a 1/8th scale buggy. I too would probably just stick with a good racing 21 for it. Another good brand to mention is novarossi

RE: Fuel line tubing question...

Just go to the hobby store and buy a roll of nitro car fuel tubing, it will work fine. Several manufacturers make fuel line, it's all similar diameter and will work with your vehicle.

RE: Help identify traxxas nitro truck

This is correct, only the rear half of the nitro sport chassis is metal, the rest a composite plastic. I didn't know the rustler ever came with a pro 15 engine, but maybe it did. It comes with the...

RE: Clumsy marshall

You could ask, but honestly, I would recommend you don't. Turn marshalls are generally the racers volunteering. Accidents happen, something you need to prepare yourself for if you run on a track.

RE: So Were Do You Store All Your RC Stuff?

I treat my bashers and racers differently. I know it's discriminatory, but that is how I do it. My truggy racers (MBX6T and ZO1-T, and brushless RC8T), and buggies (ZO1-B, X1-CR) go in my basement....

RE: $100,000 RC Car.

damn, if someone is bidding on it, I'm going to put my vintage traxxas nitro hawk on there, will give a discount, only asking $50,000 :D

RE: $100,000 RC Car.

That's some funny ****. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he accidentally added too many zeros? Of course, if it was a typo you would expect only one zero added, not 3 zeros. I...

RE: after run oil

I second this. Over 20 years now and the motors I didn't use after run oil in were fine. Unless you're going to put your vehicle into long term storage, there is no need to use after run oil. Most...

RE: Exhaust Manifold Gasket??

Prove me wrong. I did a test, posted video proof of it ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At_RYHM7i9A ). It has been 6 months now and I still have the test going, shall I check it again and videotape...

RE: Exhaust Manifold Gasket??

We're a pharmaceutical lab, so we use solvents with an incredibly high purity, HPLC grade or better. Our nitromethane costs way too much to use for making nitro fuel, and you wouldn't need high...

RE: What would you do - auction site purchase

Yes I did. It says that the truck runs, but if it has electronics for an 1/18 scale, then it doesn't run because it needs electronics to run a dual motor setup.

RE: Exhaust Manifold Gasket??

Looks like we're lost for words. That's expected, because talk is cheap, visual proof is another story. Maybe one of your chronies will chime in with pictures of their nerd buddies and some port...

RE: What would you do - auction site purchase

The seller says it runs, but if it has rusty engines and electronics from a single motor 1/18 scale vehicle it clearly does not run.

Assuming you paid via paypal, I would file a paypal claim....

I still have these samples going, it has been about 6 months now, they still look intact. You would think the plug of RTV would smear when...

RE: Exhaust Manifold Gasket??

It's all good. We're all on different levels. Some people aren't smart enough to understand the truth even when it hits them in the face. Some fools will never get it, but that's expected. This is...

RE: looking to buy a truggy roller but need help deciding

I second this. I have an MBX6T with a ninja 21, it's balistic. They are very durable and handle well. I run it at our track regularly.

Don't get caught up with big blocks, there are plenty of...

RE: No Nitro should be w/o a failsafe!!

I don't run failsafes, seen my buddies have more problems with them than they're worth. As for throttle return springs, they're alright, but for some servos, they're just not enough. I have some...

RE: What Can Be used insted of afterun oil?

I imagine you could get away with simply using 3 in 1 oil. Remove glow plug, add a few drops, put a few drops in carb, turn over engine a few times. That should give it a nice protective film of oil.

RE: Exhaust Manifold Gasket??

This has actually been scientifically proven to be a myth. RTV is nitro proof, and it is stable when exposed to not only nitro fuel but the pure components of nitro fuel (methanol and nitromethane)....

RE: Engine Swap?

That is sweet. I'm a big fan of vintage vehicles. I once had the line-up from traxxas (nitro street, buggy, and hawk). I only have the hawk now, keep it up and running too. Good luck with your project
